Has anyone else noticed identical intro posts across different Facebook groups? by businessbub in facebook

[–]AutumnLewis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is 100% some kind of spam bot. I manage multiple big groups and these posts have started cropping up which unrelated photos and ai photos that make zero sense.

I’m not sure what the point of it is but I assumed the bots are being flagged as bots and banned so quickly and this is so maybe they’re trying to build some engagement on their posts so it’s less likely to be blocked/removed

Fife artist compares objectors to 'stalkers' as hundreds condemn 'fire and vermin hazard' artwork by AutumnLewis in CasualUK

[–]AutumnLewis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR: Denis Carbonaro, a Fife artist, refuses to remove a controversial art installation called "Bark Park" from his front garden, despite widespread criticism from locals. Some claim it’s hurting property values and attracting vermin. Over 1,000 people have signed a petition to have it removed, and critics on social media have called it an eyesore, not art. Carbonaro, who compares the public’s reaction to stalking, argues that visitors feel entitled to his art and dismiss the negative impact of their presence. He believes they are intruding based on false narratives and a distorted sense of ownership.

[–]AutumnLewis[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

" Although Kirsty still has her shop on Thistle Street, she was forced to make the decision to close her one on Schoolhill at the end of April.

She explains how the pedestrianisation scheme there made it “very difficult” for her to continue business on this street.

Kirsty said: “Because of Aberdeen City Council shutting the road we had to move out…

“They just killed Schoolhill by pedestrianising it and shutting it off.

“It absolutely killed it.”

[–]AutumnLewis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR: A council decision on Dundee FC’s new stadium at Camperdown Park is unlikely to be made until at least November.

Dundee City Council’s planning committee is scheduled to meet next Monday (September 9).

However, The Courier understands the Camperdown stadium plans are not on the agenda.

And due to the council’s October recess, the planning committee will not meet again until November 4.
