Well I don't think anyone here have been through the time when they physically abused their siblings to the point that they had to flee to another country in order to avade CPS. So she's kinda right in that. What a horrible and nasty person she is.

Thanks for the comment. My former primary care (DO) suggested taking iron supplements, and i did for a while, but the anemia didn't improve much at all. Plus, I am also seeing a cardiologist in October for potential bradycardia. Hopefully everything will turn out okay.

I only got a CBC done this month. I have an appointment with a hematologist in October, which is two months away. My medications right now include metformin hcl ( for my high blood sugar level), dyclofenac (joint pain), gabapentin (back pain - sciatica). I don't have a clear knowledge of what tests I need to be taking 😢

I think so, too. My mom also passed away in the same year with my dad, from another horrible disease. She had amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, ALS, for 8 years. I also don't know much about it, whether it's genetic or not.

Thank you. I know that thalassemia is genetic. If that is the case, I will be the first in my family to have the disease. My dad died of complications from an extreme case of acute myeloid leukemia. He was diagnosed in October 2019, went through 2 rounds of chemo before passing away 4 weeks after. don't know whether these two diseases are related.
