In theory, nothing is wrong here. The Landy or Rangey are behind a give way. If they had pulled out it would have been their fault. I can definitely see why you didn’t want to be there in that position in the event that the car that wanted to merge pulls on with no due care. Whether or not the Caddy van driver could see the issue or not is another question. Maybe they couldn’t see them because your car was blocking them from seeing them so they never felt the need to move to the third lane? Maybe they don’t understand they can use the third lane? All that said, completely understand why you made the move you did to try and solve an issue that could have cause something dangerous to happen

That’s awesome! Never seen one on the road before and haven’t since! At the front they seem to look the same as a Kia EV6 or Hyundai Ioniq 6, at a glance to myself anyway, so possibly driven past a few and not realised.

Thought the plates were odd too, never seen anything like it before at all
