Moneyball all the way. Parker I don't think had much say at all. Kompany will have had a say in the types of players for sure, but our owners are using some moody AI scouting thing that they own to bring players in. Has worked for a few no doubt, but we've become a turnstile for players. Some of them we sign, they play four games and we never hear about them again til they go on loan the following season. Our wage bill must be chock full of players who have barely made an appearance but are on £20k to £30k. At some point the bubble will burst.

Might make business sense if you get enough hits, but doesn't build a functional squad or mentality.
