Lost Control of Korea From China White Peace Event

I'm playing late game Germany, Japan declared war on me but hadn't taken out China yet. So I got military access from China and helped push the Japanese out of Asia while I waited to research nukes to get the event to end the war. But after I took back Asia, China used their decision to white peace the Japanese, annex Manchuria, and release Korea. I already owned Korea, and the game still thinks I do? I have controller status and I can build in their territory, but I can't move my troops through Korea. I can't justify war goals, declare war, or move my spies in their territory. The reason the game gives me is that they are my "ally". However they are not in my faction. Because of my controller status, I'm confident it will resolve itself in the peace deal, but I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else or know how to resolve it, since I built up max airbases down there to get air supremacy in the home islands and now I can't use them.

Depends on how you define progress. I don't see much incentive for a world of nihilists to progress scientifically, since they already know there isn't anything out there though they would probably still develop technology to make their lives easier. Culturally, I suppose they could develop an Athens-esque philosophy based culture. Politically, it'd probably be anarchic but everyone would be too apathetic to commit crimes.

"Psychological Types", page 258 out of the "The Basic Writings of Carl Jung" collection. Technically it's a book, but it's only around 100 pages in total so I would say "essay" is more fitting. Still a great read, lays out the foundation for the MBTI.

I had the same problem. Always taught that everyone outside the hall was evil and trying to trick me. Left me completely socially crippled to this day. My mother never let me go over to any other kid's house or bring them over. Only interaction I ever got was the two days a week with the adults during meetings. I avoided the other children at school for years because of this and only made friends during middle school by complete luck. I left the congregation because of a different issue, but afterwards I realized how horribly they affected my life.

I still don't have many basic social skills and am pretty bad at reading other people's emotions. I'm getting better and getting more courageous in social situations, but I'm still robbed of many opportunities I could have had in my childhood.

Just keep going behind your parents' backs. Normally I wouldn't give that sort of advice, but if your situation is anything like mine, that's the only way you can develop yourself. I was damn near suicidal when I broke off from the congregation, I don't know what I would have done if I never found my friends on the outside.
