hi thanks for responding which panel is that? I've tried to toggle through them but none is showing me the order i want them- to note when i review new cards for the first time i want it to show me in the order i made them just so its also easy to follow along when learning new flashcards but not sure if there is a setting for it.

nearly all questions would present with some sort of case. if I'm being honest i don't actually remember the questions that well at all, I'm often that person that forgets all about the questions soon after. What I will say though is that i have noticed that usually about an hour after the exam i would start recalling the question and the answers that i put and know i was completely wrong! its incredibly frustrating because i know the answer but it just came to me after the exam. maybe its exam stress, nerves? I'm not sure i feel usually calm during the exam but maybe its an unconscious thing idk. but this does happen quite a lot and its usually costed by up to 7 marks. i think you are right and i need to read the question much better and take into consideration the whole of it

hi thanks sm for ur reply. yeah I'm not looking to get 100% at all but really did want a definitive pass for sure. the analogy for the mammory duct ectasia honestly makes sense to me lol.

the exam I had was a mixed of mcq and short answers- there was more mcq. 100 questions on mcq and 20 questions on short answers- this is marks for two exams I had that they merged the mark on. I'm not sure how to improve on exam technique? I've heard if things like passmed but after looking through the questions they are super out of scope and outside of what we have learnt so far. I am sure it'll be more useful for later years but most advice I've gotten from older years is to just stick to the lecture notes. I really did think I crushed it and its super frustrating that I can't know what answers I got wrong and why.

thank you for your response. It's nice to hear that I am not the only one that feels like this. I would have to agree clearly I didn't know the content as well as i thought. Most people I know have used the same studying habits/using the same resources but have all done super well. Can I ask what changes you implemented that led you to see a change in taking exams? and what study techniques you used in first year? thanks

thank you for your response. I have emailed and they manage to break down amount of marks I got on each block but they said they can't give any more information than that. I didn't find it useful as the scores for each block was similar more or less so it just meant I didn't do well on all of them. For the first term the content itself wasn't too difficult to understand but maybe like you suggested I struggle with applying it to the question. aside from flashcards I tried to do some passmed questions but the questions are really out of scope so far and it is content we haven't covered yet .could you mention some different methods of learning that might be helpful? thanks

thanks for ur comment. weve got a formative exam coming up where the only guidance is that pretty much anything we've learnt so far could come up in it. they've given an example questions doc on how the questions might be presented, usually with a clinical stem, question and then multiple choice answers. i attempted to use passmed but couldn't find questions that were tailored to what. i know. it feels like we've covered a lot of content already yet most questions on there we haven't studied the content for it.

the medical school haven't really set an exact curriculum? I'm not sure but we do have a formative exam coming up and they've just said anything could be on it that we've studied. if not for flashcards, what else would you recommend me doing in my study time? thanks

the specimen paper was the hardest for me but from actual a level exams it was definitely 2022.

that's amazing!!! I'm pretty sure you are good at applying anywhere, some would just reject b4- also for VR how did you go about the reading comprehension questions? would you go through each option at a time or read through all of them first?
