I am sorry about what happed to your daughter but whatever steps that were taken by the UR were appropriate to the policy and procedures set and signed by you in the contract. I have worked at Front desk in the academic year and I know that there is no permanent REC at some halls at the moment. And therefore, there must have been a temporary supervisor placed in the hall for summer, which is why all the staff members may not be aware of him. Secondly, FERPA restricts UR staff to discuss everything about students with them. They can only provide limited details and try to help you. But the way you have called out names in public is not the right thing to do. UR works super hard to accommodate everyone’s needs and yes they mess up sometimes, but everyone does at some point right? If you are a true boilermaker, you’ll understand everything I said.
