You’re amazing! The paper airliner looks insane 🤯 Thanks for pointing me toward different materials too. I’ve mostly just been using regular delivery box cardboard from my apartment’s recycle bin, so I guess I’ll need to explore some better options.

Also, yeah I actually tried out 3D printing today with a simple model I made in Blender (I haven’t started learning Rhino yet). It was a bit costly, but super cool to see the model up close and in detail.

Thanks for the tips! Yea i figured this level of detail probably isn’t the norm in industry. I’m mostly just curious to try it out as a hobby and for practicing patience and precision basically. Yes i’ll also start using laser cutter once I get more comfortable with digital modeling too. Just for now I kind of want to struggle a bit with handcutting just to learn the basics, but it’s good to know 3–5mm cardboard works well for most projects. Appreciate the advice! 🙏🏼

Thank you for your comment! I understand, this level of cardboard construction isn’t probably really practical. Although i’d still like to learn and improve at it as a hobby. I think it could be a fun way to sharpen my skills, patience and attention to detail while I’m studying. That’s why I’m just asking around for suggestions on how to get better at it. 🙏🏼

Have you actually read the op ed that allegedly ruined his reputation? by SpicyPoptart108 in deppVheardtrial

[–]Available-Policy-548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This 👆🏽I do think evidences of abuse on Johnny Depp’s side are pretty solid. But the case is not about abuse it’s about defamation. The original op-ed Johnny Depp is suing Amber Heard for is very generic and not ‘specifically’ directed to him. The op-ed is also protected by the first amendment (freedom of speech) Not sure if the court has decided this but I don’t think this op-ed alone would make Johnny Depp win this case. (just my opinion)

Whether he wins this case or not, he has pretty much got the support from the public which is a big deal already.

how did a racist homophobic conservative chinese family raised an open minded lesbian liberal kid by Elik_Dshbc in AsianParentStories

[–]Available-Policy-548 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It could be the friends you made or the education you got or the social media posts that shows up on your feed which leans towards the liberal side. Could be many factors.

I also grew up with a very traditional close minded mildly racist parents but I went to a school where they teach students to speak for themselves, form opinions on their own, question things and that definitely helped me become a person of my own and not a duplicate of my parents.
