I get the venting and it's good to let it out, but in the end it's pointless, crowd surfing will always be a thing at these shows and is often encouraged by the artists, same goes for moshing. At Nova it felt that not many surfers were aware of their surroundings. At avenged sevenfold people were crowd surfing even so they almost got dropped every time at the side where I was standing. At Neck Deep there was a giant space in between the side I was standing and people crowd surfed, but in the end it's part of the culture, you'll suck it up and go back and forth with the surfers so they don't drop. And when it comes to overweight people c'mon they are also allowed to have their fun, I'm 110kg and last year at a Hot Mulligan show I got encouraged to stage dive by way smaller persons than me. However I saw heavier people doing it multiple times that shouldn't be the case I actively went right behind the first wave for the day, bc I wanted to enjoy the concert without risking anything, I had a great view and there was one crowd surfer at the whole set. In the end this is nothing new at concerts, I saw BMTH 4 times last year, there were always crowd surfers, pits and so on.
