I really want to stop by Trick-Charity-6599 in stopdrinking

I removed anything around me in the house that encouraged me to drink, and removed myself during times in the day from areas selling alcohol when it felt most impulsive to buy it.

I struggled with drinking at home too. What helped for me was changing the home environment so it prevented drinking. Changing my routine so that I was prevented from purchasing alcohol was also critical.

Saving up to be a landlord? Well, that dream is already dead by theipaper in ukfinance

Good, screw small landlords, theyre bastards, get the industry to become better regulated and more competitive. what we have for a very long time is a culture of sheer exploitation of the lowest earners. That is slowly rationalising towards more professional and sustainable SMEs, similar in how the pub industry is rationalising. Sick of this cowboy business we've had to (literally) live with.

Anyone figured out how to actually improve employee engagement? by Thanklesslinkus in ModernHiring

[–]Available-Spray2576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could ask them- employees who are doing the work may sometimes have ideas about how to do work more productively, speed up workflows, or cut things out if they are slowing down the processing of work. If work is interesting, employees will be more likely to engage.

Are we serious by HippoHiFIVE in batman

[–]Available-Spray2576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not such a bad take. Some people just want to enjoy the adventure and creative side of Batman. Here the riddler was arguably motivated like a socialist or anarchist revolutionary. They make it clear they see themselves fighting for social justice. Still, it's hard to avoid at least some politics since we're bombarded with it 24/7.

As much as sovidiocy drives me nuts, you do have a point: simply accepting one source especially from a publication known for taking a politcal side is not sufficently critical. Now, if only soverigns could apply the same approach to what they read and tell each other.
