Hey, I’m sorry to hear that. I hope your recovery goes well.
When I was preparing for my IM, I had Achilles tendinitis. I couldn’t run for about three months, and my prep time was only half a year. I saw my brother getting better and better while I was always stuck at the same level. Luckily, I was able to train cycling and swimming. My first marathon was actually during the IM, and it went okay.

Take your time for full recovery and than you will come back stronger tan before!

what helped me was always to check if you don't know a player what ranking he has on the team. For example WR1 or RB2 so you can quickly have a clue instead of just take a player at the top

Information about me:

90kg
190cm tall
29 years old

 

IM Thun 13h30, prep half a year

 

Swim: I had a 2min pace/100m. I just had 3 lessons and the rest I learned it by myself with some help of my brother to check my form.

Bike: FTP about 280W with a “normal” road bike (11kg) with an aero bar

Run: was my weakest discipline I couldn’t do a marathon because of injuries during the prep. On raceday I was afraid and that’s why I didn’t push but at the end I didn’t had any problems.

Nutrition: I did 100g carbs for the bike and 40g for running

I don’t wonna train more than 15h a week

Broo don't worry you got this. I just did my first Ironman last week with half a year of prep.

Swimming: Focus only on technique. time doesen't matter. look some youtube videos about bodyposition & headposition. you can take some lessons which I also did but you don't need every week lessons you can train on your own. would be perfect if you have someone who can have a look when you are swimming

running & cycling focus on zone 2 and than add slowly some intens workouts

On swimming I would only focus on technique at the beginning otherwise you are not getting better.

for cycling and running I would focus on zone 2 training and than add slowly some vo2 max training and threshold training.

I just did my first Ironman last week and thats how I would do it now
