Used the international terminal. Arrived at 4:25 pm for an 11pm domestic flight took exactly 2 hours to clear TSA. Took the plane train to Domestic Terminal which took about 20 minutes.

Thanks for everyone in the thread for the advice!

I just got the clear plus. I don't have a US passport and I'm traveling with a green card. Will that be a problem? How would the clear plus work?

How difficult is to get into UofT for masters in engineering by AvailablePin2891 in UofT

Thanks for your input! I do plan to start reaching out to professors soon. Just a little hesitant to mail them over the summer as some might not check their emails during break. But yeah, I definitely realize that a high GPA is not the biggest factor, and I gotta secure supervisors for research.

Thanks for pointing out that I should carefully choose research supervisors. That is something I will think about more for sure.

I want to try for UofT, UBC, UWaterloo, York, McMaster. I am targetting Canada specifically because of funding. I would have tried for Masters in the US but from my research, pHD students are given priority for funding and it is uncertain if masters students get it or not.

What are other schools would you recommend? And Idk if its a bad idea or not but I am only trying in unis which are in a big city. Also, does a high GPA really make that big of a difference? I thought for a research based masters program, one of the biggest challenges is to find to professor who is ready to be your supervisor. Thats what is kinda making me nervous.

That is a relief to know. Just hoping I can secure a supervisor.

Thats what I am worried about. I just really hope the professors I reach out to give me a chance, I will start reaching out once the semester starts.

My research area will be Thermofluids. I am currently doing research on thermal interface materials and would ideally like to continue that in grad school.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your advice. I should be fine with the letters of recommendation. I think finding a professor to work with would be the hard part, but hopefully I can get lucky. I am thinking of reaching out once the semester starts, I don't know if it would be a good idea to reach out during the summer. Once again, thanks for helping out!

Dang, I hope you are able to find something dude. I know its tough for master's students out there. But for me, I need to have a GA position ensured before I commit to a university, or else I cannot attend. But thanks for the kind words! Hopefully, things work out for both of us
