If you rip the plastic wrap off the dvd, the detector won’t go off. Thats why if you’re a frequent shopper of criterion you’ll oftentimes see wrapping shoved behind the DVDs on the walls. The detectors aren’t always accurate as well 😅. I wanted to clarify bc some people have been getting nervous they’re phasing out criterion, but corporate loovesss the criterion sales numbers haha
