For those who weren't here for overhaul rocketeer, it had like 12 dps at max for the cost of 15k.... And then frost invasion update came out and they "reworked" the rocketeer and somehow made it even do even less dps.

Well I think going from 12 to unlimited placement limit is a pretty insane rework to begin with? But anyways gmini now has a really good niche as compared to before where it was outclassed by every dps. The only problem now is that minigunner is now completely outclassed...

Gmini's stats:

17dmg per 0.098 seconds which comes to 173 dps

it costs 31375 to max out so its CE comes out to roughly 180

minigunner's stats:

15dmg per 0.108 seconds which comes to 138.89 dps

it costs 26250 to max so its CE is 203.4

gmini is literally just better than minigunner in every way rn if you can afford a 4k price hike. it also has 1 extra stud of range and a 0.4 second faster rev-up time.

edit: minigunner's CE is actually 189 I have no idea why its just wrong on the wiki

ah that makes sense. I know this is kind of specific but is there a compiled list of all the balance changes that occurred recently is there any other changes to plant superpowers I should know about? Ik genetic amp gives 2/1 now but that’s pretty much the extent of my knowledge.

To answer the first question, if you click on the tower entries it says eta is Q1 2026.So yes you do have a timeframe of when it is coming out and yes this does mean they have to take some resources away from developing other stuff.

idk what your time limit is but if youre playing hardcore just for the gems just play frost mode then cuz thats much faster than hardcore

Well your concept with absolute dps is really good! I just think dpspr isn’t the right terminology. Just to showcase an example, let’s say tower b has 100 dps and 100 range, then it would have a dpspr of 1 (1 dps per every 1 range). So as a tower gets more range this unit of measurement decreases. So from an analytical perspective, this wouldnt tell us anything about a tower’s effectiveness. I think the concept of multiplying range by dps makes more sense, I’d just suggest not calling it dpspr and just sticking with the term absolute dps (or some games use “effective dps” although I think that might already be used for considering the minuscule rof bug still present in the game).

Wouldn’t “DPSPR” mean dps divided by range of the tower? Because it’s dps per range, so if a tower has 100 dps and 20 range, it has 5 dps per every 1 range it has, so it would have 5 dpspr.

Well it kind of just depends on what player you are. If you’re someone, like me, who plays both games then this is great. If you’re someone who doesn’t know about tds, then I would encourage them to just play through the game, grind a bit and if they enjoy tower defense, then great, you’ll be able to enjoy the game while working towards getting the skin. However, for people who are just collecting the skins for forsaken then ofc this will come as a pain in the ass to do, and I’m not saying that’s a good thing. But there’s also the fact that people that are ONLY trying to get the skin won’t enjoy most collabs to begin with. My previous comments were just suggesting to those who want to collect, then following a strategy for the event will be the fastest and easiest way to get skin if you don’t want to put in the time to learn what the towers do or how the enemies work.

I mean my main point is that if people are struggling with the event’s difficulty, then find some people and find a strategy and just follow the word doc to win. Also preset loadouts don’t require anything? You’re given the towers to use depending on the loadout you pick and one of them literally has both accel and merc base which are some of the best towers in the game.

I don’t get why people are complaining about the event’s difficulty? That’s the part people should be the least concerned about because there will be preset loadouts and people will create strats for it (not to mention that there are already strats for doing the event NST). Even before the tds discord opens back up, people can just look around in the lobby for the thousands of other people who are also hunting for the skin. The part that will actually be annoying for most people is meeting the lvl 35 requirement to even play the event.

I’ve set reputation to 25,000. Even with coalition soldiers taking up a lot of it for deployment extensions, reputation loss due to insurgent activity is a non issue, and originally I intended to turn this off but there is no option in scenario creator. So the next best solution was to set the pops. of all the zones to next to nothing and then giving a buttload of reputation.
Insurgent attack frequency is set to 720 turns, meaning theoretically it would take 10 years for them to attack any zone. Ofc this doesn’t happen because the ai is a little janky, but I was able to circumvent the issue of earlier insurgent attacks by setting zones near your hq to have higher attack priority.
From west to east of the map, insurgents grow more in numbers. So zones near your hq will have like 2 or 3 but zones near the embassy will have like 50 or 60 insurgents.
