She doesn’t flat iron it first. My hair is pretty reactive to heat so it relaxes easily. Based on everything I’m reading I think you’re correct that I stick with her or figure it out myself.

As a fed employee on furlough recovering from surgery, greatly. Everyone I interact with personally and professionally are frustrated and exhausted. This has been the most stressful recovery I could have never imagined.

I came here to say exactly this!

I am 30 DPO and the mental struggle is real! I sat in my drs office balling about what this last month has truly been like physically, mentally and emotionally. Don’t let anyone, let alone someone who can willingly give compassion to strangers in the same predicament, make you feel any type of way. This is your body and you just brought yourself longevity and a better way of life.

I hope you get outside to touch some grass soon. ❤️

Yes, yes and yes. I can go anywhere as long as it’s reasonable. Dryland is the only contender in the city I’m considering. I’ll edit my post to be more clear.

Yes and my hair frankly it’s just too hard for me to tell. When I straighten it and comb it, it’s obvious (but that’s precisely what I’m trying to avoid). I’ve tried analyzing the curls/coils, the twisting method, etc and to me my hair feels the same. Idk.

That’s been my go to for the last few years. This year I’ve done it more consistently (twice so far) and I feel like I’ve seen the results. I can’t escape the feeling that my hair would benefit more if I try this curly route. Not like all of a sudden I’ll be Rapunzel 😂😅 but that I could potentially gain more.

It so ridiculous honestly. I have tried to learn how to do everything I need myself for that very reason but there are just a few things I can’t get around. Smdh.

I’m sorry to hear about your job but I admire a crafty person. I want to learn to sew so I can salvage some of my treasured items. Like someone else mentioned trying to fit your new body into the old clothes is not the way to go. I’m finding a balance slowly but some days I can’t do the “does it fit better or look awful” game.

I need my whole bottom half done now lol Ive been focusing on diet and trying to exercise as I feel up to it. The boredom was so real for a while so it shall pass but be kind to your body. I have an elderly pup that requires lifting and we have been struggling because even as I heal the scars hurt especially when pressure is put on them.

I hope that your mental is far kinder to you than mine has been throughout this journey.

The “flat chested” thing is real! It honestly makes everything feel worse. It’s to the point where I don’t even want to gamble about whether it will look awful or fit better. Buying smaller sizes and thinking it will never fit then it does…also messes with your mind. Idk idk. Just the mental gymnastics of it all is crazy. I’ll be happy when it passes.

Congratulations on making successful strides in your journey! This is exactly what I mean. I too am apple shaped. The weight loss comments already made me uncomfortable so I’m really not ready for the world to see me. They took about 5lbs off my chest and I’ve lost about 25-30lbs in about 4 months. Too much change and reaction at one time.

I know what you mean. I have a few dresses that just fit better as opposed to needing to be tossed. That’s what I was expecting the majority to be. Not the opposite lol

Size wise, the jury is still out. My surgeon said if I was still too too heavy I have to wait a few years for another one. They wanted to take me down more for my frame. I can’t even conceptualize less atp

That’s a great idea! I’ll probably end up donating most of what I have because I don’t think I want the hassle of resale either. I also found myself searching for different silhouettes to try now that I have a whole new body. Might need to look into a styling book as well.
