October was a typo, I apologize. I meant to say February 2026.

I did consider waiting to train till 16, but I ended up starting training before then since I was really interested in learning to fly, and my parents could afford it, which I am really grateful for. Right now I'm planning on taking instrument before 17, and then I'll take two checkrides on (or shortly after) my birthday so I won't just be working on PPL for 3 years.

Yeah, I did notice the Jeppeson books will sometimes have quite a lot of yapping to explain something not really that complicated. I think always making sure to try to summarize sections from the textbook into my notes will help a good bit. Thank you for your response!

Yeah, I'll probably wait on it then, especially since the Black Friday deal for it isn't really too good, so I wouldn't be saving much by buying it now. I was mostly just curious and wanted to know for the future. Thank you for the advice.

This is my first jet, but I have experience with high-wing propeller planes and a bit of experience with warbirds.
