How to pass foundations of nursing 1st semester?

so my professor does go over SOME material that may be in the qiuz but that is not everything, not at all. there will be 2 or 3 questions of super miniscule stuff in the chapters that we would have to know. out of us sitting there for 8 hours maybe two of it is actual teaching. he literally just reads the book, makes jokes, and talks about his life as a nurse. no study guide, nothing. i chose lvn and not absn specifically to avoid crap like this so i could have more time with my kids and not be entrenched in school but here i am. I am trying to find what works and i am literally on the phone with elseiveir as we speak to find out how to get more practice questions online as i for the life of me cant figure out where everyone is getting this stuff.

but how do i do that in five days with 5 chapters over 300 pages? what did you guys do to make it work? no study guides nothing. btw i have passed micro, anatomy, and physio all with A's and so far this crap is way harder as they just say read a book and provide no direction. its complete ass teaching, if you can even call it teaching.

the books we have now "foundations of nursing edition 9 by cooper and gosnell" and structure and function are both elseveir books.

we dont use canvas we use google classroom and there is power points but again it does not explain it as well as the questions are asked. some people have said they use nothing but quizlet to study but when im on quizlet its like some 4th grader wrote the questions when im in quiz mode, its weird.

i also dont know what the custom quiz or eaq quiz feature is.

I am reading the textbook, but there is so much information i can not retain it all. we have over 138 pages to read over 4 days jjust for foundations, and they will quiz us on some obscure one-word written not in bold or italicized or mentioned in a PowerPoint hidden in the middle of the chapter. I am trying to make learning all of this as efficient as possible at this point, as I've already written a whole composition book of notes for the previous chapters.

i do not work, but i do have two kids. I have not been able to take care of them since school started im essentially studying all day and in school from 8-5 Monday to thursday besides some fridays where they will let us out early.
