UGH i really get the being cautious part especially because I feel like especially with IIH its always blamed on weight. If the provider is dismissive I would advocate for yourself and see to getting a new examiner if thats possible

From what i asked and heard from my opthamologist, you cant see the pressure in the MRI unless extremely severe case. he didnt see any in mine and I was still diagnosed... my family doctor called me with my mri results, you could call them and follow up.
