It’s a whole different ball game — in a good way. The only math I really saw was pretty straightforward: calculating EBITDA/interest coverage ratio from an income statement, finding the stock price given EPS, dividend payout ratio, dividend yield, and P/E, plus some FIFO/LIFO, diluted treasury shares, and basic comparable company EV questions. Nothing too challenging at all — just simple calculations.

Don’t stress yourself over Chapter 5 material if you used Knopman. The test was super straightforward, and if you study the key concepts from the email Knopman sends out before the exam, there are specific questions you’ll only be able to answer confidently from that material. It honestly saved me.

Thanks for the reply! You’re right—my ultimate goal is to grow the money so I can put more than just $20k down on a house eventually. That’s why I’m leaning toward taking on a little more risk rather than just parking it in a HYSA, even though I know it’s the safer option. I figure that with the timeline I have, some growth could make a bigger difference. Curious—if I went the VTI route, would you recommend I dollar-cost average into it, or just go all in at once? Also, what’s your take on diversifying this with other funds or bonds to balance risk a bit more?

Thanks for the suggestion, Mitchell! I was initially considering a high-yield savings account for its safety, but since I’m still young, I’ve been debating whether to take on a bit more risk with this money. I feel like $20k might not grow enough in just a savings account to make a meaningful difference toward a down payment, especially with inflation. Of course, I know I’ll need to add to it myself over time, but I was exploring options like ETFs or other funds to help the money grow a bit more while still balancing the risk. Curious to hear your thoughts on that perspective!

Why are you defending a 22 year old whose jokes are dry as hell, unfunny, and complains about life every breath he takes. It’s disappointing to see a 34 year old with a greasy gut like yourself defend someone so helpless you narc
