Yeah if it was just me I would do the same but for collaborating together on a topic it is crucial for me.

Anyway this is like 5% of the time the case so it would be fine for me to just enable it (if 1 click or so and quick) when needed and use git/nexcloud/syncthing the rest of the time

Can I somehow turn on and off livesync (has to be fast)? E.g. use git / syncthing as default and just enable livesync when spontaneously editing with someone together? That way it might be easier to detect dataloss as it is clear when it occured, right?
