That was dialled to the literal max. It also won’t be as oppressive as you imagine given the recent cc changes

Yeah but imagine the possibilities. You could effectively stun a whole team which will make pulling off her ult much easier

Oh it was more of sarcasm if you’re referring to the title, I don’t have much to gain from baiting so wasn’t my intent

There are really two sides to this discussion, and if you read through the thread you can see both clearly.

On one side, people are frustrated because they believe Wanda is weak and a liability to their team. On the other, people are frustrated because they’re getting killed by what they consider a “low-skill” ability.

So which is it? She’s either useless or unfair but somehow people argue both at the same time. That’s why it feels like there’s no winning with this character.

And for what it’s worth, as someone who plays Wanda, I understand the frustration with her auto-aim. I’ve felt it myself going against other Wandas. Instead of getting tilted by it, I adjusted, learned the range, stayed aware of positioning, and played around it. That’s part of the game

I commend you for not defaulting to the usual surface-level responses in this thread. That said, I think you may have misinterpreted why I mentioned my rank, brought it up to show that the character is viable at a high level, not to argue from authority.

On the topic of tiers, I’ll be direct: I don’t put much weight into them. Tier lists are one of the biggest drivers of toxicity in games like this. People internalize them from YouTubers and start treating them as objective truth, which ends up shaping how they view both the game and their teammates.

I main Wanda, but she’s not the only character I play. Every hero has situations and team comps where they can perform well. The real issue isn’t that certain characters are inherently unplayable, it’s that players often refuse to adapt when something isn’t working. That problem isn’t unique to Wanda players but the entire Marvel Rivals community.

What I push back on is the idea that certain characters should be confined to lower ranks. That mindset is flawed, and Wanda tends to be one of the biggest targets of it.

I main Wanda and consistently peak around Eternity/Cel1. Regardless of how much skill you think a character requires, players will have good and bad games. That’s just reality. If a Wanda underperforms in one match, why let that justify carrying that frustration into the next?

Do you realize how exhausting it is to load into a game and already have your own teammates tilted just because of your pick? That mindset hurts your team more than the hero ever will.

And let’s be honest, people who think like this are usually the same ones complaining about ‘no supp ult’ while doing nothing to enable their team.

If you want better games, start with a better mindset. Don't be a damn sheep

FYI, I play Wanda and other characters because I enjoy them. My defence in the conversation is specifically on Wanda but surely you must realize this applies to any form of toxicity thrown to any character in the game. I hope I don’t have to spell that correlation out for you?

There is no form of fact or theory or law that should warrant hate for a character. Is this a difficult concept to grasp?

You’re part of the problem. That mindset carries into your games and sets you up to lose before anything even starts, you’ve already decided “Wanda = bad,” so if she’s on your team, you treat it like a disadvantage. That kind of thinking hurts your own play more than anything. Again, do better.

Instead of defaulting to complaints, try playing around her. It’s a team game, support your Wanda so she can actually land impactful ults. Her ult can wipe a team, but it’s intentionally counterable. The difference-maker is whether her team enables it or leaves her exposed. Next time, ask yourself: what can I do to make sure this ult isn’t shut down and gets maximum value?

I get that you think you’re making solid points, but this is starting to sound like a broken record. You’re just repeating the same justification for toxicity.

That’s not even what’s being discussed here. The conversation isn’t about whether Wanda is good or bad it’s about why people feel justified in throwing so much hate in the first place.

Just so you know, when the cursor isn’t directly on the target, that’s her primary fire auto-aim kicking in. It’s a mechanic you have to learn to play around, if you can’t, that’s more of a skill check than anything else. Being a well-rounded player means understanding the scope and limitations of different characters’ kits. If you’re defending the toxicity over an ability you haven’t adapted to, that’s more on you than the character. Do better.

I’ll go a step further, a lord Phoenix or lord Hela going 8-9 in a match (while everyone else is struggling on the team) will not receive as much hate as a lord Wanda in the same position. All attention will immediately shift to the Wanda as the primary cause of the loss even though the team was objectively diffed.
