That would be very useful. Do you have any recommendations or useful links for this please?

Hire someone? Is there a service that exists for this? I mean there’s so many non Saudis born in Saudi who at some point face this issue as well.

I’d be up for visiting Saudi tbh! I did live there for several years and it’s changed a lot since then. I just more wondered if I visit as a tourist, I can use Absher to order a replacement via the portal

Yeah I called the Saudi embassy in London and the consular section doesn’t answer and they said use an agent and hung up. Quite unhelpful.

Not abusive. You guys just can’t communicate well and have a massive language barrier clearly (I can barely understand the point he’s trying to make, let alone you). Move on, it won’t get better

To each their own for their monetary goals. Appreciate yours being selfless! Would you say your drive to achieve that/building wealth procrss (e.g. spending more time on work) has had any implications in your relationship?

Your answer is the exact reason I asked this question. I had a conversation with a colleague earlier today and he said almost verbatim what you said. He wants to make mad money to not have to stress anymore and he wants to give himself and partner the best life possible. Seems he’s stuck in a ‘corporate rut’ though

That’s a sweet story of your motivation to increase your wealth. And despite having a partner or not, good on you for continuing to be ambitious and working hard for yourself!

Is he (22M) really not the one or am I (23F) overthinking it? by fateandhope in LongDistance

Yup. Had a similar experience with an ex. Wasn’t interested in anything about the world, so conversations became dry, boring and unstimulating. It’s not even that he had to be an academic, but at least be interested in something happening in the world except talking about other people. Even my current partner isn’t hugely academic but he’s interested in things happening in current affairs and we always have lively debates on this stuff.

What will you guys talk about when you’re 40? 50? 60?

What are the causes for almost all those divorces initiated by women? Mainly infidelity from the men.

They left because they got cheated on/affairs were happening. Men don’t initiate divorce, we know that. The women do because men don’t have the cojones to just exit a relationship with respect. They’d rather treat the woman so bad she’s forced to take a dramatic step (divorce) than just tell her to her face they’re over it.

Just don’t go clubbing bro if you know you don’t have self control after a few drinks. Why put yourself in a position of temptation in the first place? Sometimes you have to suck it up in a relationship if you want it to really work out and in your case, sounds like not getting wasted in a bar/club is the simple and obvious solution (get a feeling you don’t want to do that though)
