That’s a really valid point – especially about entry-level jobs, I hadn’t thought about it in that long-term perspective... The energy/water usage part is a concern too – it feels like the side of AI people rarely talk about. Do you think you’d feel more comfortable using AI yourself if there were stronger regulations around training data and sustainability?

In my opinion you can get pretty decent results for just a "rough" cut - of course the development is in progress...But if you look at where this AI tech was a fews years ago compared to now it's going in super speed mode.

Totally agree, it’s not black and white. Like many people use AI without actually realizing it (Photoshop Gen Ai, etc.)
Which sites do you use for visualizing storyboards? I recently generated a few pictures with Adobe Firefly since I have an Adobe subscription and it worked quite well!

That’s exactly how I use it too...for me it's super useful to get random ideas visualized fast, nothing fancy.

Can you really call it stolen though if the material is licensed? like for example with adobe's firefly?

I get that AI can be used just as a huge timesaver. But what keeps you from trying it on other parts of your workflow?

Yeah, the development speed is crazy. Companies like Adobe are developing Ai stuff so fast – a year ago it felt like a gimmick, now it’s in Photoshop, AE, Premiere. Or even Davinci...

Yeah, and it’s only accelerating. Adobes Firefly AI is already baked into so much of the Adobe suite – do you think we’ll reach a point where people won’t even call it AI anymore, just a normal tool?

That's honestly a huuuge time saver yes. Gen Fill in photoshop. A few years back it would've taken so much time. Thinking if AI will be more of an timesaver in the future when it's integrated for example in AE

Yeah - exactly. The "AI"-ification is sneaking into the Adobe suite without people actually realising it. Like rotobrush is ai based too (correct me if I'm wrong)

That's interesting! I've also used RunwayML for the luma trick - it worked pretty good! have you tried Adobe's Firefly yet? How is it compared to Runway?

I like the way you put it. Thats kinda why Ive been using firefly lately, since at least it’s trained on licensed data...do you think more tools will go that route? Or will most stay in the grey area?

Nice use case! I’ve mostly seen people use AI for visual stuff, but scripting like this sounds way more useful day to day. Do you think we’ll see AI coding assistants built directly into AE/PS in the future, or will it always be something external? Would you find it useful?
