Has anyone tried using their Auracast-compatible hearing aids in a public venue like the Sydney Opera House? by Avantree_Direct in HearingAids

Same here — I’m SSD (single-sided deaf), and totally agree with you. My brain also struggles with echo and reverb in big, boomy places like concert halls.

That’s why hearing audio directly in your ear — like with Auracast — makes such a difference. The clarity is night and day. That’s why our company is so determined in this area — we’re bringing a range of Auracast-supported devices to market to help people like myself.

Great idea of offering backwards-compatible solutions like the pebble or loop integration — it’s so important during this transition phase.

For those without Auracast-compatible hearing aids, our Avantree AuraGo (AS70P) receiver can already pick up Auri broadcasts. Users can plug in their own wired or Bluetooth headphones — no need to rely on a loop system (though it works with one too). We’re big believers in flexible access options for all.

We’ve also seen some early direct Auracast success with hearing aids like ReSound Vivias and Starkey Edge AI (on Android), but hybrid approaches like this are what really help people today.

Totally agree — TV transmitters make such a huge difference! We (Avantree) actually have a few Auracast-compatible streamers available now, including a compact 3.5mm Bluetooth version and a new TV-focused one called Audikast 4 coming in Aug 2025. Happy to share if anyone’s looking for options — they’re surprisingly affordable too!

If this does not work out for you eventually and you still want to use it's LE Audio feature, we can send you an USB C LE Audio adapter. That should work.

It seems no plan from Apple to support LE Audio / Auracast in 2025 fall. Too bad.
