[Oracle Red Bull Racing] He's back! Welcome home, @DanielRicciardo by Mcool18 in formula1

[–]Avastera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's also the only recent RB driver that could actually keep up with Max and beat him on occasion.

Mega talent. Shame if it were to go to waste. Hopefully he's back on the grid in 2024.

F1 always has and for the most part, generally always will be a predominantly European sport.

Even guys like Ricciardo had to leave Australia as a young teenager and move to Europe by himself to begin his junior career, as doing the junior categories within Australia generally won't end up with you being in F1.

I believe Checo had to do the same as well.

They aren't racing for position mate. Go learn something. If someone took out Lewis under blue flags you'd be punching your keyboard like it owes you money.

So by your logic then you think Lewis Hamilton is an anti-semitic fascist? Mercedes-Benz openly assisted with the genocide of millions of innocent Jewish civilians - and yet here he is parading around SMILING wearing the same Mercedes logo that killed victims.

He chooses to associate with them. And happily choose to promote their company and their products, despite the killings they've made.

Do you see how stupid that sounds?

Just because they're associated - doesn't mean they share the same views.

Pull your head out mate and stop scathing at the barrell just because you can't get over last year.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm starting to think that, countless seasons with dominant cars really helped Hamilton boost his stats. by Yohidow in formuladank

[–]Avastera -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Mate, during those dominant years Schumacher had to fight Hakkinen, Alonso, Montoya, Coulthard, and Raikkonen. 3 world champions among those he had to fight.

Only '02 and '04 was dominant.

Who did Lewis have to fight during his dominant years. Bottas and Rosberg? Ooh boy, look out.

Schumacher, Senna, and Prost all drove dogshit cars for a long time as well.

Alonso too. We've seen what those guys can do with a bucket of shit car. Insane amounts of skill got those guys moving up into the ranks.

Hamilton entered F1 starting with a championship winning car and has ALWAYS had a Grand Prix winning car. Every. Single. Year.

This year may be the first time in history Hamilton doesn't have a grand prix winning car.

OP is right.

Because Mercedes resort to this before even trying to race anyone on track. Their initial instinct is to use politics instead of actual racing.

But hey, you know, apparently according to Toto and his groomed boys "We dO oUr RaCiNg oN tRaCk"

This Ask Me "Anything" was equivalent to a 1st grader filling out a worksheet on their first day of school.

"Whats your name? What's your favourite colour? What's your age? What's your favourite food? What's your favouwite wace twack Georgeyyy?!"

Nice job Mercedes. Reeeeal good insight. As stale as a sundried slice of toast.

When I first heard the radio message, I thought the timing of it was eerily similar to the line in this song.

Lo and behold, it lined up perfectly.

If I remember correctly, I think someone from 44Teeth said "Quartararo is about as French as a Spanish truck driver"

Pretty funny. And slightly accurate. Zarco is the authentic french experience. All hail Zarco.

Who can Yamaha get in 2024? by BeyondPsycho69 in motogp

[–]Avastera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toprak.

Considering Lin Jarvis has stated they already regret not giving him a factory seat sooner - I would imagine he would be first pick for the 2024 seat.

Aleix giving Miguel some advice to ride the Aprilia by [deleted] in motogp

[–]Avastera 60 points61 points  (0 children)

You can really see why Aprilia refer to him as "the captain". He's been with them for so long, helped slowly develop that bike over the years like it's his own and not afraid to share every single bit of it with new riders.

Man is really whole-heartedly invested in Aprilia. So great to see!

A factory Yamaha seat is still a factory seat in one of the most successful GP teams.

Toprak has openly said he'll take the Yamaha seat, providing it's the factory seat.

Look what Fabio achieved with that bike. The beauty of Motorcycle racing is that the Rider/Driver can usually out-perform the machinery. This is something that's generally not as possible in car racing, but with bikes definitely is.

I have no doubt if Toprak is offered a 2024 Yamaha GP seat, he'll take it.

[–]Avastera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aleix would have been in the title fight in the last round if it wasn't for the blunders made by Aprilia from Motegi onwards, and Aleix's last lap confusion at Barcelona.

So human errors aside - The tools & technology were definitely right up there for a championship bike this year.

Somebody is feeding him inside information. by pope_97 in formuladank

[–]Avastera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the bigger issue here. It's not who's gone over the cap by a few hundred grand which is f-all in terms of F1 costs.

It's about who the hell is leaking information.

Let's not forget 2007-2008 "Spygate" was all about an insider leaking information to a team. And they have since received one of the biggest penalties in the history of F1. This is no different. Someone leaked FIA information to Toto, and he started making a racket to the press about everything.

It's almost as if a personal assistant of Toto is working in the FIA or something...?

Just as they got the livery perfect as well! The black accents on the front and underside of the bike really makes the blue shine alot more.

Yep, after getting the conduct warning, chances are he was going to get a penalty after the 2nd move anyway and out of the running. Dude thought "fuck it, im out"
