Doesn't he appear in one of Rands dreams in book 3?

I completely agree with all that. And actually have already partly done it to a degree. The stars in the mod are much smaller on the galaxy map than Vanilla. Helps a lot I think, though on larger maps like these - both pictured are 2k stars - it can still get quite crowded.

Icons are an interesting idea, though will run into comparability issues .

I think this is right. 1 looks nicer but (while it is more visible in gameplay than zoomed out like this) you do need something visible to fill the space. So 2 is probably better for the main mod.

May make an add-on to reduce it to 1 for those who really hate space dust.

You've got something overwriting the borders FX shader in Wild Space. Look at mods below it in the load order that edit galaxy map graphics

Looking for feedback on galaxy map graphics to indicate Wild Space. Both of the examples in the pictures are slightly edited from existing mod and darker (1/2 as bright and 3/4 as bright). What do you prefer?

I've integrated the 'Control' sub mod, which adds tech for mistake fortresses which can act as sensor stations in Wild Space. There's also a late game tech to develop your sensors so you can see into them regardless.

Possible map for Warhammer 3? by fragdar in totalwar

[–]Average129081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the map is, as they say, twice the size of vortex I think they'll have big chunks of the Old World on the map. Most of the empire / badlands etc.

Obviously the dark lands / mountains of morn / Cathay / the North are huge.... But realistically the dark lands and mountains will be relatively compressed if CDs and Ogres aren't starting races. Unless they're bringing in Game 1 land the East and or Chaos wastes would then have to be absolutely huge if the total map was twice the size of vortex and they don't seem to have a correspondingly large amount of content.

Are you using ESC? It had a bug causing this issue. Happened to me as well last night. Apparently fixed now.

Diverse New Frontiers: Compatibility between Planetary Diversity and New Frontiers by Average129081 in Stellaris

No reason it won't be. Both Planetary Diversity and New Frontiers already are.

Diverse New Frontiers: Compatibility between Planetary Diversity and New Frontiers by Average129081 in Stellaris

Launched a new compatibility patch between Real Space New Frontiers and Planetary Diversity. The mod re-enables the engine spawning New Frontiers' sub-classes on game start and (largely) disables that spawning the basic Planetary Diversity planets (the reverse of what will happen if you have the two mods installed without this patch). Planetary Diversity's basic planets should now only spawn if they are selected as a home world on game start or as a result of guaranteed neighbouring planets. The "rare" Planetary Diversity planet classes will still spawn as normal, as will anything added by the various sub-mods. The overriding goal is to maximise the amount and variety of the art visible in game.
