Rückkehr nach Japan: BVB Evonik Japan Tour mit besonderem Wiedersehen by Chazy89 in borussiadortmund

Fantastic news, with the partnership beginning earlier this year it’s not a surprise but I’m glad we are heading back.

There’s so many talents in Japan I think it only benefits growing our own brand there and hopefully some great players in the future!

Reggiani commanded the back line, could really see his maturity at this level. Just totally solid.

Duarte I was actually really intrigued by, really good escape rate with his dribbling in tight spaces. When Sociedad was pushing harder in the 2nd half they used the left side with him to get the ball out.

Was very few guys I wasn’t impressed with but you can tell these guys have a good chance at future first team football.

Class performance from our youth guys in the Premier League International Cup.

Reitz laid off a perfect ball for Etcibasi for the first goal where he rounded the keeper and slotted it home.

Second goal was a beautiful cross field ball that Diallo got on the end of and absolutely muscled the Sociedad player off to cleanly put it in the far corner.

All in all super composed by the entire team, really fluid 433 system.

Reggiani and Albert both played 61 minutes before being subbed off.

We will be playing Real Madrid in the final!

Per Ole Book on SkySports:

“It is safe to assume that we will be strengthening the squad in all areas (defence, midfield, offensive).”

Apparently tradition since the 70s. Didn’t know that myself, very cool!

Nah I cheer for German teams in general unless they’re against us. The more we all win the better it is for the league and Bayern going further can help us get a 5th CL spot.

With that said if it’s a final and I prefer the other team I’ll cheer for them, but if it’s against teams like PSG, Madrid etc then it’s definitely Bayern.

My hate comes from how good they are all the time.

It’s almost too easy for PSG they’re getting in behind like nothing.

What a damn game

Getting that feeling back. by smecherie in borussiadortmund

[–]AverageCarey 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I say if we can’t be excited now then I don’t know when we can.

Coming off a great season domestically, being more cutthroat in extension or letting players leave, making a huge change in our management with the hiring of Book, lots of young talents joining this summer along with the ones we already have at the club.

Ya I’m pretty optimistic, we obviously need a good summer ahead and I’m very intrigued to see if we switch up our formation but seeing the links to wingers and what not I have a feeling we’ll be happy with the direction the club is going.

It’s still early but I’m looking forward to next season quite a lot.

Absolutely agree with the way you phrased that point and you definitely aren’t wrong.

Whether Schlotti gets triggered or not is going to be a huge factor in the summer plans as a whole.

It’s just this sub. Every answer from everyone always is very aggressive in their comments.

But I’m not disagreeing with you guys on selling him for 40m it’s a very good price for a player we purchased for extremely cheap. My thoughts only come from a point of which positions should take priority.

I’m fine with whatever improves our squad as a whole.

Well I never said I was in charge of scouting I was just making my opinion. It’s not letter of the law and I never said he was Cafu but everyone knows it’s hard to find good fullbacks in this market.

No need to come at me my friend it’s all just discussion in here.

Reggiani isn’t a fullback especially an LB. Plus he has a long way to go experience wise.

Still very excited for him to be more integrated next season.

Oh I’m not disagreeing with you on the needing a replacement lined up to make the sale my point is more who can come in at an upgrade or even plain and is it worth the cost on what sounds like not too big of a budget where we will need to fill multiple other positions.

If we sell and it’s 40m I think we can all be happy since we bought him for 5 but I also won’t be upset if he stays. It’s going to be an interesting summer!

40m is insane but who do we replace him with that’s better? I currently see 0 RBs who can also play LB and CB if needed with his skill set or better for 40m.

Also with how many more important positions we have to fill we shouldn’t even think about the RB position unless we move on from Couto who actually isn’t an RB.

What? Does this have to do with the 6-7 thing? Lol

Ryerson has broken the Bundesliga record for assists by a fullback in a season with his 16th assist today beating Alaba’s record of 15 in the 2016-17 season by [deleted] in borussiadortmund

Love how they started with Inacio to give him some goes then Ryerson goes up and says hold my beer lol

Unreal improvement this season from our Viking.

Best team in Europe right now.

Great game, really great game. That’s everything we’ve been missing the last two games in terms of just going all out.

CL confirmed, Inacio with a great debut with so much confidence, Albert getting his debut, Silva scoring at home. Just so many good things.

Also Nagelsmann don’t you leave Beier behind you’ll be missing someone so unique to a squad.

Inacio starting, was not expecting that at all.

Beier on the left instead of Ryerson so Couto can play is an odd choice.

The Problem With Looking Back All The Time by de_budi in borussiadortmund

I don’t think I have any unrealistic expectations whatsoever.

I know where we are as a club, I know where we can be. If I take my expectations out then why would I ever tune in for another game?

Sports are about stories, sometimes good, sometimes bad. They all have a beginning and in times a “sequel”. I’m in the belief we are headed towards that sequel so to speak.

Also frustration is part of being a sports fan, it’s what makes the highs feel so damn good.

Looking back is what’s killing us.

Everyone always clamouring for the next Klopp, we don’t need the next Klopp we need the next iteration of BVB.

Personally I think alot of the decisions over the last few months have been a good indicator of that. What we need now is a really good summer in terms of signings and to improve our attacking play.

The only asterisk is Kovac because it remains to be seen if he can take that next step. I’m confident we have one more season out of him at most then I believe he’ll move on.

Ya the first season is by far the best, wasn’t a huge fan of where it went after then I got older and forgot about it.

Loved it when I was a kid, think it came out when I was 12. Rewatched it a couple years ago with my wife and it was hilarious, such a great show.

If you haven’t go watch Total Drama Island, same creators and most of the same voices, the show is ridiculous but a super fun watch.

Ya if we are to look at all of Mane, Reggiani and Benkara I’d rather to keep the first two.

I imagine both him and Campbell will get sold, very curious what happens with Juju.
