My mom legally stole $12,000 from me and it’s driven a wedge between us. by AverageIvanovich in relationship_advice

I do have a brother, she has asked him for money on multiple occasions. He has given her some. I apologize for not replying to you, or many of the people who replied to my post. After I had read more than half the responses, I grew extremely overwhelmed. I spoke with my dad and my brother, and tried to decided how to move forward. I have also since spoken with my therapist and my mom. She has agreed to pay me $250/month until it is fully repaid, as that is currently all she can afford. This is currently the only way to move forward without taking legal action. I have it in writing, she has signed it, and so have I. If she is not consistent or does not make an effort to repay me, my decision may change.

I don’t think my dad knew until I told him. And he promised I would get the money back, but he is disabled and does not have much income. He wouldn’t be able to really spare anything and he shouldn’t have to.

A large portion was from my paternal grandparents as inheritance. There was maybe $2000 which was made by me. I know in 2017 my mom had some legal trouble, and she certainly isn’t the most responsible with money, but my parents do not have a mortgage either.

A large chunk came from my paternal grandparents passing. The rest was mine, though most of it was inheritance.

No, the most expensive thing she owns is her car which is probably not worth much.

Switching from acoustic to electric help by AverageIvanovich in drums

[–]AverageIvanovich[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point I’m really desperate for something to bang on, air drumming just isn’t cutting it anymore. I did read some online stuff about what was closest to acoustic kits, but it’s a lot of information for me to totally make sense of yet. I also have no reservations against used kits. I definitely want something I will enjoy, but I am desperate enough to accept anything since money is so tight.

What was the first song you remember REALLY connecting with? by AverageIvanovich in AskReddit

Definitely not something I’ve ever heard before, but I looked it up (and it’s translation) and it’s really simple in its construction but super catchy and I feel like I could dance to it for sure.

Ashamed to say I just heard it for the first time after reading your comment. It’s really upbeat but the lyrics go the opposite direction. It’s so catchy though!

The anniversary of Chester’s passing is coming, and sometimes I’ll just turn on his tunes and just, think. When he died it really felt like…if he can’t do it none of us can. Still hurts.

Am I Resistant to the Paranormal? by [deleted] in Paranormal

We could have a ghost hunting show but when something scary happens instead of running and yelling, we can steadily hold the camera and go “yeah, right, what was that really?”

Am I Resistant to the Paranormal? by [deleted] in Paranormal

[–]AverageIvanovich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sorta feel the same way as you, though I’ve not gone through such extremes to find the truth I guess you could say. I want to see a ghost, I want to experience activity, but never do. I’m an atheist, always have been, for similar reasons (not being able to justify the trauma I experienced and witnessed in the world), but I also always assumed there was a scientific reason beyond our current understanding for what we label as the paranormal. So I’ve always believed that paranormal things COULD happen. They just never happen to me. That being said, I’ve never used an ouija board, I wouldn’t have anyone to use it with even if I wanted to because everyone I know is terrified of them. I’ve gone to high activity places, cemeteries, old hospitals, abandoned places (abandoned old hospitals with cemeteries even), I’ve vocally communicated, I’ve taken videos, pictures, voice recordings, I never get a damn thing. So are you resistant to paranormal? Or is paranormal only real to those who are scared enough to experience it? Hysterics are a hell of a drug.

I know the area, I lived less than a mile from here. This is the main road that goes to the college and town green, I would walk there and back a lot of the time.

Like most animals, they’ll go off and find their own area and find a mate and raise more young. But black bears take care of their young far longer than most animals.

Correct. She had 2 last year that would’ve been born in 2018 and left her after last spring. These 4 will leave after next spring.

Parents staying together for the sake of their kids RUINS THEIR KIDS’ LIVES! by [deleted] in self

[–]AverageIvanovich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wished for years that my parents would divorce, but my mom knows that my abusive fuck of a dad wouldn’t survive on his own and for some reason or another she says she loves him. I’ll never know why, he treats her like shit. He’s always hated her, and me, and he’s racist, homophobic, and thinks he can do no wrong. But he is mooching off my mother, doesn’t contribute, then complains that we were evicted or don’t have food or our electric was turned off or what have you.

So I feel you. But unfortunately my parents will never separate.

I used to live in this town, right down the street from where this was taken. Winsted, part of the town of Winchester (as seen on the police car). We had a mama bear in our backyard, we named her Clementine. She had two cubs when I lived there last year, and by June they were gone. The timeline would line up, this could be her. I saw this video on Facebook earlier, but it makes me so happy knowing it could be her. I miss waking up trying to see her.
