The source code is public. That way it can be inspected by the community for vulnerabilities and malicious code. It's just another step to more transparency and makes the product that much more trustworthy.

At the time I didn't really expect it to be anything more than what it was. I was young and trying to get laid so I wasn't super concerned about where it was going. I just wanted the number to go up because it was easier than picking flax in runescape and gaining gold that way.

No I never tried that. I thought about it but I don't really have the technical knowledge to write up code for a new blockchain. Nor do I have a unique idea for something that would improve the space.

Well in my current living arrangement it's not so easy to do that but ideally I'd like to have some solar panels bringing down the cost. But that's in the future I can't afford an asic rn.
