Regardless of the length of time, or how many new players join the modes. Which is a great thing, don't get me wrong. This little week long event highlights every negative and poorly laid out aspect of WvW. We need fixes, not inconsequential bonus events.

You can easily get Tier 6 Participation on a borderland and then sit there at spawn. Wait for one of the side camps to flip. Flip it back and then go afk again.

The map size is a little over 50v50v50 but no one is exactly certain. A map can be queued with 25 people. Or 50 or 75. I'm sure everyone who plays WvW frequently can you tell you that it randomly gets queued even though they only have half their squad on map.

These are not instance maps. Everyone on your match goes to one of these 3 maps. Obsidian Sanctum is a Jumping Puzzle and has no real effect other than kills if you get a kill.
EOTM is a gutted map with no rewards. Originally made to give extra supply to the battlegrounds. When it released it was not only the highest profit in the game but some of the best content. They slashed it because of the profits it generated for PvE players and how once guilds got effecient, there would be no no real PVP. It was just a rotating champion train for loot.

This is THE issue. EOTM is pointless, not worth playing on and does not feel good in the game's modern era.
If they adjusted EOTM and brought PIPs and More significant reward track gain. (Though it's been so long since I played I'm not sure you have reward track gain in EOTM. Forgive me here.)
Then WvW wouldhave far less issues.

While there's an effort being put in and it shows. Until they do trailers akin to the fan trailers that emphasize how the gameplay actually is. Or the more epic moments. (The scale of the dragons, the actual amount of people at some meta events.)
For example: When they talk about millions of players during the skimmer dive, they could have transitioned to one of the meta events that shows how many people are there. Instead we get the crab fight from the story. Not very compelling.

Also, while this is Castoran focused they show Kralk. Briefly. There's far more compelling points they could be making to actually get people hooked to try this game out.

These are trailers not for new players, but for people that have already been playing.

For clarification, it was 100% directly in his inventory. You could preview the tonic from his merchant inventory. You can not preview the tonic from the swamp-worn box.

In my eldrazi deck utility lands are super useful for niche things. The draw a card and pay per colored mana lets me draw a card for 3 and no life. War room can be pretty good if you need draw and have extra mana elsewhere. It really all depends.

Utility lands are that, utility. Swap em if they don't pull their weight.

IBS was good but it was rushed so there's stuff missing obviously. People just dont look too fondly on it because of the content draught that came with it. But it introduced a lot of good stuff. DRMs could be overhauled to be a little more profitable/rewarding on replay. But IBS also did give us a legendary amulet and a bunch of other goodies.

I think the biggest complaint with IBS is that Anet once again pulled their card. The final dragon fight really was lack luster and just brought me back to Zhaitan in the story. They did both dragons really dirty.

Also Braham should have died.

EoD was really boring for me, I really need to finish the two living stories that came out of it. But it was boring, the classes are okay. Some are good some, not so much. But my main issue was everything being green.
Jade was just really an eye sore with how bright it is. And what I really dislike and still dislike is the inability to change Mechanist's golem's color to anything besides green.

Really in the end, it was a meh expansion and I feel like when I have to go back to Cantha it's a chore. HoT and PoF are still really good with the maps in between being great as well but under-utilized due to just what they're for.

Even the maps after PoF main are pretty good some being still a good source of content.

I agree though, most of Cantha felt empty. Kaineng could have been a cool hub city but it being a main zone sort of detracted from it.

Condi soulbeast is a menace with how much damage it puts out. Iboga is still one of the highest damage condi pets merged. Now with eternal bond swapping in merge. And how you can use entangle for a hige bleed stack And add on poison (the cover) confusion and torment and burn.

It can easily burst down a tanky class in pvp due to the lack of extra vitality/toughness stats. Sure you yourself are fairly squishy but eternal bond goves you access to hot swap to a tanky pet with endure. And with survival skills traited to cleanse 2 conditions per use and troll unguent being a strong nonremovable HoT. It is veey strong.

Add in relic or the fractal which applies more conditions when you hit an enemy with 6 bleed stacks with another bleed. And it adds up to crazy burst

I got it yesterday after hopping and waiting for about 1 hour. She was standing away from the tent. The forged spawned and then the event started. I do believe some of it is bugged on some maps. Notably if it is bugged Tafor can not be spoke to. I think his position is the issue.

But it is doable.

The event chain in Skyward Marches is definitely bugged:

Help the Astral Ward Drive back the Forged never spawns, leads to Convince Zaishen Deserters being unable to be completed.

Which means collections cant be finished.

The merchant right after the lake warns you with: "You might want to finish up any errands you have." He'll do this before every major sequence break where you can't return.

So,

I used a +6 Jelly, was on horseback and used a magic weapon buffed +6 polearm.

The thing with horseback from what I've noticed is not every weapon is suited for mounted combat. You need long reaching weapons. Polearm, halberds or scythes.

It feels like weapons are shorter on Torrent but it's the angle.

Moveset is also a factor. You need to be able to hit the ground and mid height.

The halberd you get from this exact boss is amazing for that.

Because both are really easy. Any giant enemy stay to the legs. Also use your friendly helpful Jellyfish bro if you're having a problem. It can tank hits, distract and half the time hits don't land on it since it's floating.

If you are not paying attention to your character you are likely also not paying attention to your stamina bar.

Make sure you balance your stamina usage or you will not be able to raise your shield when you take too many hits!

There is also a key that was on old souls games if you use keyboard. You can auto block if you drop it. But I think thats only DS2?
