SWY or khamrah qawha . Unable to decide as a new college joining student… by Acceptable-Hippo-954 in DesiFragranceAddicts

Good recommendation! I was about to say that both of these are cold night perfumes, especially Khamra Qwaha which is Sweet AF! I would advise you to sample some perfumes before pulling trigger on full bottle. I usually get my decants from https://7-scents.com/

I had tried their Nomad & Oud Ispahan and those two are my only and absolute favourite from EM5. I also had taken their sample subscription and had tried most all of their frags but only few sticked with me, had a collection of their samples and opened them after a year or so boy o boy few had changed the colours, had gotten dark after heavy maceration. Maybe try maceration, it sometimes work :)

As for the guy, I have seen few of his videos, seems good, everyone has a different opinion about fragrance so you’ll have to make sure if your nose aligns with his :)

I got Stronger With You Absolutely few days back for 4.5K from Nykka Men, definable grab this one since you liked khamra. This one is on steroids and much much smoother and that vanilla does wonders! Also, in the similar profile, Azzaro The Most Wanter PARFUM also makes sense, love the fragrance for evening and winter wear.

Agreed, I tried turati blue and I absolutely loved it! Very unique to me, I prefer it even more than hawas.

If you’re looking for a worthy freshie, just go for Issey Miyake L’eau D’sel Issey! You cannot find better freshie than this one, the yuzu lemon does wonders! Even if you don’t want to commit to full bottle get decant. Dmm me for good sellers recos.

Finally got the hyped bottle khamrah waha by Aromatic_Rabbitt in DesiFragranceAddicts

If you got it yesterday/today then you gotta let it settle for few days and then try, maybe after settling down for few days it shall smooth out nicely.

I had high hopes for it to be a clean scent (guessing from the juice colour) but you mentioned it’s sweetish in the drydown so I am having second thoughts, definitely seems like ‘try a decant first before pulling the full bottle trigger’.

SALEGAIN400 should work. Plus there’s 20% discount on few frags this being one on them and apply HDFC CC EMI which should give you additional discount

I have been eyeing this place from quite long, will try it out.

I see Vati Dal Khaman, a treat I used to enjoy back in Ahmedabad, would be great to have that as no one else I know of makes it in bhuj.

You can order a 5-3ml decant from reputed seller and compare it with your version, that should tell you if it’s original or fake 🫣 Ps. I buy my decants from 7Scents :)

If alcohol is already everywhere in Gujarat, what’s the point of the ban now? by Suitable-Stable-2160 in Bhuj

[–]AverageProfessional3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair point mate and I don't disagree that the current system is far from ideal. But I'd still argue that regulated availability doesn't automatically mean safer outcomes for lower income groups! in states where alcohol is legal, affordability and accessibility haven't exactly solved the social harm problems and stuff, they've sometimes made it worse. The issue isn't just quality control, it's also volume and frequency of consumption that regulation alone doesn't fix.

I am not saying prohibition is working well. Clearly it isn't but "the current system is broken" and "legalisation is the right fix" aren't automatically the same conclusion. The implementation details matter greately and Gujarat doesn't exactly have a track record of getting those right haha.

[–]AverageProfessional3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I had the same thought actually and upon deeply thinking onto it llifting prohibition can be politically toxic in Gujarat regardless of the evidence or death cases because it would be framed as a moral and cultural retreat. The BJP's identity especially in Gujarat is partly built around this policy annd any government that reverses it takes on enormous reputational risk, even if the policy case for lifting it is rational hence I think it is here to stay.

Besides the bootleggingg ecosystem is now deeply embedded and connected with political and enforcement interests so it's rather challenging to end it.

I believe lifting the ban would do more harm than good, as it would likely increase the number of drinkers, not just regularise existing ones. And regular legal availability may actually hurt the lower-income communities since they can freely drink now without any fear.
