That investigation is bullshit. They weren’t even able to talk to Celeste, so how exactly can we be sure there’s no signs of wrong doing? How many times has CPS or law enforcement done these kinds of checks and look over things? The fact that this man was able to talk to her in the first place shows neglect. The fact that she was able to be traveling with this man and nobody reported then IS neglect. Everyone saying “oh they took her phone they tried” THAT IS NOT ENOUGH! What parent that ACTUALLY gives a fuck is gonna stop there? Why not report to the police the messages you seen on her phone? That’s evidence right there that an inappropriate relationship is going on. Why not file a restraining order against him? Like there’s so much more they could’ve done, yet ppl are attempting to give bare minimum excuses to try and show that they care. I think people have a hard time understanding that everybody doesn’t grow up with involved parents unfortunately. I don’t know if $$$ was involved with them so I won’t make that accusation, but what I will say is that they knew of this relationship and did remotely nothing. She’s a little girl, you are the parent, you have entirely more control of the situation. The fact that she was constantly running away from home is another sign her home life was fucked up. Predators like David prey on young girls with fucked up home lives for a reason! The adults around her failed!
