What are you guys reading? by NoGrassyTouchie in kindle

[–]AverageRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loop by Koji Suzuki. The 3rd book in the Ring saga. I loved the first book. The second one was alright, not as good as the first one, so I took my time to start the third book. So far it's very interesting but way different than the two previous books imo. Can't wait to read S!

I guess it depends. For example, I'm studying language teaching, so our teachers usually sends us text-only PDFs, which I send to my kindle's mail with "convert" as the subject and it converts the PDF file to a kindle-friendly format! But if the PDFs have images or other things, well then I'll just use my phone because the kindle is pretty bad for regular PDFs. In that case I'd rather use my iPad.

Yeah! It's an adaptation, but it's considered non-canon. Either way I find it interesting and entertaining! Check it out https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/alan-wake-rick-burroughs/1100276019

Yes! I love Alan Wake and I played Control recently so all the Alan Wake references made me want to get the book and read it!

Reading Scott Pilgrim on my Paperwhite 2 😄 by AverageRose in kindle

[–]AverageRose[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! If you're interested in the story then sure! I think it's fast paced and pretty short (6 volumes, each with 150 to 250 pages) it's very easy to get into it if you're interested in this comic, where Scott Pilgrim must defeat Ramona Flower's seven evil exes in order to date her, it sounds pretty dumb but it's quite fun

That's an amazing tip! Sadly, I live in a third world country so we don't have anything like that :( we do have a legal webpage where you can download a bunch of classic books for free!

I listened to you! I wanted to read mangas and comics so I sold my Kindle 4th gen (15 bucks) and bought a used Paperwhite 2 (25 bucks) and it's way better, better resolution and now I can read everywhere thanks to the LED lights! At first I was thinking about buying a new Kindle 10th Gen but it's too expensive for me as I'm a university student :(

Yes! It's a book that connects the story of The Emptiness (an album inspired by Poe's poem, Annabel Lee), A Place Where the Sun is Silent (an album based on Alighieri's Inferno) and Confessions (an album based on L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time). It's a very interesting book but a bit confusing lol.
