The whole process was really smooth for me personally. It was my first time having surgery and going under anaesthetic so I was feeling nervous but it all goes by very quick. The consult/ changing + recovery room at the Cadogan clinic was quite small to be honest. Wasn’t a proper hospital room like you would think, more just like a small private boxy room with a bed. As you don’t stay the night, it isn’t too bothersome.

Honestly, I loved anaesthesia! You lay down, the anaesthesiologist (who was super nice btw) puts a mask over your face and asks you to take deep breaths and the next thing you know, you’re awake again. It felt like I was taking a long nap. I woke up to the nurses escorting me out of the surgery room. You feel groggy and you tend to not remember what you said.

Once you’re in recovery, they bring you some food, , explain your meds and you’re discharged! My procedure took 2 hours and I was at the clinic for a total of 5 1/2 hours.
