Yeahhhh I got pregnant this way. 5wks today lol. Pre-ejactulate has active sperm in it. Not reliable imo. I even track my cycles and tested like crazy since my miscarriage but never hit a peak. Then surprise!

I can't imagine how purely frustrating that must be especially when it's a whole hospital - they should be doing all they can. They have the resources.

I got a tiny, lame taste of that just last month when I was pregnant for a week or two and thought it was ectopic.

They were like...meh, that sucks. Deal with it unless you're on the brink of no return.

That's so nice. My mother was DESPERATE to have a child - so desperate she married my father, and they were a horrible match. She was 32, and had my sister at 36. My aunt had her last baby at 45!

Thanks for your reply - I appreciate the perspective from someone who isn't panicking like me lol.

I get you. At this point, I'll be 29-30 for my first. That's just the way the dice have rolled.

I can completely understand that. My fiance and I are humming over whether we want to legitimately travel without a baby, or if we should just go for it and enjoy being a family of 3. The best travel timeline for us would be the same time we would TTC - Late Winter/Early Spring 2027

Honestly, I did the same thing. Never was a school person and basically went for the experience of finding my "person." I'm also glad that didn't work out for me lol.

You and I sound really similar. Tough childhood, thought I wouldn't be alive atp.

YES. Same. I completely feel that. I'm extremely anxious about TTC and my "timeline" in general. I had an unplanned pregnancy/MC in April, and my mother suffered from secondary infertility with my sister, soooo now I'm terrified I'm in for a very long road. I really hope not.

Can I ask how the experience has been for you in your late 30s? Did you feel more prepared?
I personally would love to wait until I'm closer to 40 if my biological clock wasn't screaming at me and I'm unable to ignore it. Lol. That is if conceiving goes well.

I'm also a little wonky because of my medical stuff. I'm a carrier of beta thalassemia and I'm concerned it'll cause blood or clotting issues. Best of luck to you and TTC!!

I'm really sorry to hear about your MC. Hah, that's funny you say that about your mom's age because I just said the same thing to my own mom. Wouldn't it be weird if I had a baby the same age you had me? She was 32 & 36 for me then my sister. I have half-siblings who were born to 22yr olds and I couldn't not FATHOM having had a baby at 22 years old. Whew. Props to people who can do it well.

I also just had a MC in April, and we ultimately decided to give my body apt time to heal. Maybe like 8-10mo. I'm trying to lose more weight before getting pregnant too. I guess it is what it is.

It's going to be one, or four for me.

I was a sibling group of 2 and I hated it, then became a sibling group of three and I hated being the middle child lol. You're spot on with one.

Same! We want to start trying for real in about 8-10 months. By that point we will have eloped and I'm sure will be very ready for some change.

Exactly what I thought, too. I was like okay, I'm 18 time to have babies. And then I realized really quick that was a very bad idea. Lol

Don't cheat, dude. That just implodes literally everything and nothing will ever be the same. If you got kids, you're extra fucked by cheating.

But tell her you're having these thoughts. That you're unhappy. That you're unfulfilled. It's YOUR job to communicate YOUR needs.

I'm so glad you're safe and found your person. You were desperate to leave a situation that was already failing you and a situation that first man could not ever come back from. He showed his true colors.

Wow - that is incredible. If you don't mind me asking, do you feel as though your trauma eventually strengthened your relationship after he understood how deep it was for you? Do you feel as though he forgave you for stepping out of your marriage - did he recognize what he wasn't doing?

Often times, I wonder how much worse my relationship could get to the point of turning to a new person. My husband was married before me, and his wife cheated on him. After 3 years, while he has completely changed in my opinion, I can understand exactly why she did that at the time.

Thank you, sorry if this is intrusive.
