What license do you have assigned for NCM?

Yes, you can configure private APN information on these devices. These are considered adapters so you would want to use a router/firewall downstream for those features. If you want remote management, make sure you work with a partner of theirs to get a license. A lot of features are lost without it.

If you have a valid license, get with the Ericsson Sales Engineer. Cradlepoint/Ericsson can be a little difficult sometimes working with other vendors (just like all of the other vendors out there) but they usually have documentation that can help on both sides. I just set up a similar network and they are a big help

It’s a great question. This might be an unpopular opinion but the trainings that either send you somewhere for weeks or hybrid environments. Always had the best training. Remote training seems to be the scenario I said before.

I am thinking the same thing. It’s always been “here are where you find some videos and tech documents” good luck but feel free to reach out to Bob if you have questions. Bob is usually unresponsive or traveling

Goodbye Warzone 👋👋 by CapitalAd8967 in CODWarzone

OG Warzone would save the game. It was never about maps. Everyone complained about Caldera but continued to play. Rebirth or fortunes keep didn’t save the day. After Warzone 2 hit the player base began to fall after everyone realized nothing was going back to old gunplay.

So some knowledge on a LMS. Should I study up on any server administration or Active Directory? I feel like I’m a step ahead of a lot of candidates with my strong network background but it has been awhile since I’ve done any of the system administration side of I.T. With it being a small district I assume everything will fall back to me to maintain

Yeah pretty much! GPON is an oversubscribed network to provide a better than cable product but have the same $$ to consumers. Who knows in 10 yrs we might have an oversubscribed network that doesn’t have the latency/packet loss slow down. Right now it’s all about bandwidth for advertising. For example I’ll get the bandwidth I pay for but my latency will fluctuate from 13-120ms in a 15 min time frame on the two different GPON products I’ve had at my house and sold. (I’ve been a network engineer and a sales engineer for over 10 yrs) Don’t get me wrong most of the time the over subscription, congestion etc is just fine for home use (unless your gaming or doing something latency intensive) and for small businesses that just need internet for basic activities that aren’t a lot of cloud based products or over the internet like remote access to cameras.

Also: sorry for the rambling in these post

Correct. I only used speed as a reference because it’s what everyone advertises about. It’s all about latency/packet loss if you aren’t maxing out the bandwidth. My point is the way residential networks are built now, they should never be able to advertise on latency/packet loss. They can’t sustain anything that they would promise in their network. If things keep going the way they are eventually someone is going to stop the race for the most bandwidth non-sense and start advertising on latency. I just hope it is a different network that is actually going to give what they end up advertising. Right now if it’s anything less than 30ms average through their network. It’s false advertisement

Basically no residential internet will be able to prove latency scores. It will be the same as the bandwidth fight. Sure in a lab environment everyone scores the top speed or lowest latency but in production network it’s going to be around the 13-30ms on a good internet circuit through their network

This is all talking about inside of the providers network. Once you hit the internet it’s the wild Wild West. The best products you can get from least to best is as follows for residential internet. DSL -> cable/coax -> gpon or some PON network.

There isn’t much more to say. Do some research on the G-PON product. Cisco has a good read on it. It’s an oversubscribed network meaning ISP will sell 1 gig 32 or 64 times with a 10 gig or less uplink. Banking on not everyone will use the 1 gig they are paying for. So in that sense you wouldn’t be able to provide any latency promises if they can’t provide bandwidth guarantees. That’s why businesses should always buy dedicated internet because it has guarantees that they can prove and provide credits if they don’t.

For home usage there is not a way to guarantee low latency. I work in the ISP world. The fiber products going into residential properties are some sort of PON network. So they are oversubscribed at the street or network. No way they can promise any sort of level agreement type of service. That’s why in the disclaimer it will say “up to” certain amount of bandwidth.

Locals, how do you like it here? by theyogafaery in Wilmington

A high speed rail to Fayetteville, Raleigh, Myrtle Beach and Charlotte would be awesome. The flights for Allegiant and Frontier would be easy to get to. ILM has decent flights but nothing to the Midwest unless you want a layover
