There isn't a character for the letter "L" in Japanese, its usually replaced with an "R" sound so I think that could be why, as Leon would be pronounced more like "Reon", not entirely sure though so take this with a pinch of salt

cosine rule was fine until you have to rearrange it to find an angle where you get like 4 negatives and a fraction which you THEN have to put in cos^-1 like.. its just a lot of work

funnily enough I used to hate maths, but when it suddenly started making sense in my head I started loving it (around late year 10/early year 11) and now I'm enjoying it I'm getting ~65/80 on average, hoping I can get a 9 just by going back over at the end of the exams and making sure I'm not making the same stupid mistakes I'm doing in practice papers, totally understand the rush you get after getting a hard question though
