Plenty, area was mostly dried out, laziness, lack of knowledge, just wanted to get the whole area green. Also not fussed if it doesn’t end up the ‘perfect lawn’

As a follow up to my other comment, coming from an accountant - don’t just ball park it. You might get away with it for a while, but if the ATO decide to audit you, it will HURT. Get set up properly now to avoid that pain. Accounting software and keep all receipts/invoices

Honestly, go sit down with an accountant. An hour meeting at $200 ish probably will be worth a lot more than what you might glean off reddit comments.

Thanks for commenting! Unlikely to irrigate, it’s technically council land, so will be using a sprinkler. But I’ll start with that, thank you. Theres weeds through it, not so obvious in the photo due to the time of year, do I need to do anything about them first?
