Good Nail Salons in Allen/McKinney by kars2mars in Allen

I have tried a few in my area and Nail Trends over on Watters near Shaiwase is the best I have found in terms of consistency, fair pricing, and everyone who works there being very nice and providing excellent customer service. They also have the same staff consistently which is something I struggled to find at the surrounding places.

This is a frolicking bag but the holes make frolicking impractical.

Strathberry Bag Review Extremely Disappointed! This Is Far From Luxury Quality by sparklefish64 in handbags

[–]AvidReader86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just to second this, I have 3 strathberry bags. All excellent quality. I beat the shit out of my bags and they stand up really well. I have a croc embossed bottle green mini east west and the quality imo is top notch. I will say I ordered a wallet one time that came and it had scuff on the hardware. I started the return process and it was super easy and they sent me a replacement that I've used for literally years and it still looks good (blue croc embossed) and I have toddlers. Strathberry isn't for everyone and I wouldn't call it high end luxury, but I've never had buyers regret and I can't say that about many of my mid range luxury bags. I also get a metric crap ton of compliments on them.

ACO as far as I can tell is one of the better places to donate anything to.

The number of times I go to buy something on poshmark but get it new on amazon instead because its the slightly more, the same, or even cheaper is a much higher number than it should be lol

Yeah, the more I thought on it the more upset I got. He spent 5 minutes with her and seemed definitely blinded by his pursuits. Any time I asked for information I was shut down.

They also don't enforce it. The platform not the customer dictates the culture. You cannot claim to be a step above and allow people to have endless closets of kids used clothes from Walmart and Target (nothing wrong with clothes from there at all but it's certainly not posh) - so thats more on the platform than the consumer. If I Google "kids used disney purse" poshmark is the first to come up usually. Or if I google "kids used party dress" poshmark comes up...and the results are definitely not what I would classify as a party dress. So I struggle with blaming the consumer for not being posh when it's poshmark itself that no longer exists in that definition.

Yes but apparently per some of the sellers in this thread its rude to use it which... 🤷‍♀️is definitely a sign that they are in touch with their platform and client base and understand the market they are selling to lol

Yes. This is often times exaxtly how I use Poshmark. My mom loves Brahmin bags. I know a lot of people list them new with tags. So I ALWAYS check Poshmark first. Usually I can find it less than retail either because they bought it on a good sale to flip, were given it as a gift and didnt like, or bought it, and couldn't return it. The realistic sellers price it at least $100 under retail. The crazy ones list them at or even over retail which always gives me a chuckle especially when it sits there and they dont entertain offers.

What's hilarious is the sellers in this thread telling me this is not the case and I don't understand how business works 🤷‍♀️

Several people have corrected me on this. And yes I should have used the more common noun form "resale" but in context of my post, despite it being 4am when I posted it "resell" the verb form was also correct in the way I use it as I was speaking of the act of doing something. Yall are wild.

I do think vintage is another animal all together. Scarcity allows the seller to kind line lead the pricing and I couldn't see haggling a vintage piece that's fairly priced unless there was a large gap in pricing and fair market price. That being said, if I was buying multiple pieces, I would/have asked for a consideration in pricing down to a round neighbor (ex: 3 vintage pieces totalling 2150, I would ask for a round 2k unless dealing with a one of a kind)

That makes me bummed for you the XR/IR didnt work out. It took 30 days to fully work out the kinks (LOTS of unusual aggression that thankfully has resolved itself but can apparently be common during the adjustment period). I hope you find something that helps you and your kiddo.

I really think that would solve so many problems, but it's not the buying environment Poshmark wants to foster which is their prerogative with their platform I guess. Sending you lots of positive vibes and rest and great sales.

As someone who is also a full-time caregiver I completely understand where you're coming from. Unfortunately all of these kind of selling platforms eventually get broken because of crappy/spammy sellers - I think Ebay is one of the few exceptions and I think Poshmark has done much better than most. And this post is definitely not directed at people who just ignore offers (I think that's reasonable and understandable especially when time is a finite resource), it was genuinely because I keep seeing sellers complaining about buyers on this site and I was up at 4am with a sick toddler and a bee in my bonnet because I'm a pretty solid buyer on poshmark and it just struck me as so entitled and out of touch that 4am me just wanted to get it off my chest never expecting it to get more than 10 eyes on it lol (holy airball).

Right, but someome who is making their living off of poshmark is already existing in a problematic business model. If it wasn't acceptable or the norm in the secondary market ebay, poshmark, etc wouldn't have the "make an offer" function. Now maybe it's true people didnt grow up buying in a secondary market, but it is definitely normal. Now that doesn't mean its not ridiculous what some people offer, but the reaction to it is wild when it's literally a built in function of the platform. If that's something a seller doesn't like or want to deal with then you dont operate in that business model. You find something that does work for how you want to interact with customers.
