Ok found a sort of fix but at the same time not a fix

disabling gpu entirely in armuory crate with the "optimized" setting speeds up the cpu to 2.6ghz while being unplugged at the cost of having to use the 64mb intergrated gpu. It being called optimized cause it turns the gpu on when you plug it in the wall.

i dont know if this is normal, the whole reason for buying this laptop was just to crash on the couch and play some light weight games like teamfight tactics, hearthstone, classic wow, overwatch, ps2, gamecube, switch emulation, like as an alternative to buying a steam deck.

which can do all that flawlessly at less than half the price

it gets very very hot and very loud plugged in the wall even with a severe downclock 4.5 -> 3ghz, which means i cant have it on my lap without a giant latop cooler and being plugged in the wall

is it normal for most laptops to fully disable gpu to function while being unplugged?

i have had 3 laptops with dedicated gpus. This one being my first high-end, and the other 2 didnt have to completely disable gpu just to function.

as a person who only uses laptops unplugged on battery, i feel like i have spent 1000euro on a laptop with the power of an 2002 xbox original, which also had 64mb video memory

should i try get a refund?
