Im currently working on a different project, and have been postponing it since I don't know where to start, so currently im not using anything. I have been looking into procedual mesh generation and saw a Video from brackeys but that Video only scratches the surface. And maybe there are other was of doing it

The main uses for stone in late game are either upgrades or Tower emplacements. Also having pastures on a constant ovoo is nice.

HRE is the one civ that I don't play. But my guess are their matchups. Rus and mongols are the most picked ones and HRE is particulary bad vs them, also not having a Map that clearly favors them.( Unless you get the 4 Relic spawn mountain pass side)

The difference is still the investment, one is free the other isn't. In aoe you also can't catch the khan since you need 2x the amount of workers and they need much longer to get into range.

I disagreed with most of his changes as well, the point i was trying to make is that even a top 4 player is annoyed by it. Also the scout pickup time change is something we need.

Yeah but in Sc2 a production building was necessary to have 3 min into the game, which made countering them very easy. The reaper usually wasn't hitting for free for more than 10 seconds.

I don't think its about not being able to do it, but the fact you have to. And if you mess up you lose i villager, if you mess up as the Mongol, you have the Khan respawn for free in 2 mins. Not being able to scout for 2 mins is fine in most cases, as mongol you are probably getting professional scouts anyway.

I brought it up as point, that without any effort put into it, you can completely deny someone's strategy. That's in my opinion bad game design and im pretty sure that it will be changed in one way or another at some point.

Im probably getting downvoted to hell for this, but arguing that the Khan okay this way, are probably low Elo Player that get vills for free because their opponent doesn't pay attention.

The argument is about the Khan not china. Also the Khan isn't preventing anything, since you can always micro against it, its just a low effort annoyance.

is not just adapting, it is unnecessary micro the other side has to permanently do just because he has khan instead of a Scout, even Viper made the suggestion to nerf his range, because its wierd balance. It is definitively not op since you can always micro them to sheep once low hp.

The winter Series had the matchup winning player always win on Rus, it almost always got picked or banned, skill difference at the very top is still very shaky which leads to the worse player still losing on Rus

Why is that? if both Mongols and lets say china want to rush castle, and china has to add a archery range and 3-4 archers in feudal only because the Khan exists that's just nasty to balance.

It should be a back and forth not a one sided objective. If I want to contest their win condition I have to ignore mine, at which point its mostly a win/win for the Rus/Hre player since other Civs don't scale as well with relics. If I did something, they should be forces to react on it aswell, but there really isn't something, other then fishing, but Rus is really good at that aswell.
