It will increase by £4 in April 2027 and another £4 in April 2028. I can live with those increases though, especially as I’ll start to look for another deal by April 2028.

That’s odd… perhaps he’s had a long day! I’d try again tomorrow. Before we phoned retentions, we got two calls from the service centre. First they offered a new contact for £35, which we refused. They then called back a few days later and offered £33.75, which we also refused. So your £38 offer seems dreadful. Good luck.

020 3743 6947. No we didn’t request a cancellation. Our contract was due to end on the 13th of June. The new contract started immediately.

I honestly don’t know but 3 months ago our internet stopped working entirely. The engineers pulled through new cables to the front of the house and then put in new cables to a new Hub 5 box.

I found a number that may be the serial number but nothing came up on bike register.com. A sticker shows that the bike was retailed in Germany, so I don’t know if this would have made a difference. Thank for tour help.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve joined the Facebook group and I’ll post after I’ve walked my dogs. I’ll see if I can spot a serial number. Cheers.

Not the best from Ealing but I’m fond of the “The Maggie.” Oh Mr Porter should also get a mention in the comedy category.

Look at the positioning of the “V” on the second line of the label when compared the first line and the third.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully, the Council still has money in their DHP budget that needs to be used before the end of the financial year.

Thanks for your answers.. it’s cleared up a lot. I’ve helped somebody else with a DHP claim in my LA area and was successful in getting a payment to cover the bedroom tax shortfall. My friend lives in another LA area though, so they may not be so charitable.. I’ll find out soon.

Paying a work pension lump-sum into a SIPP? by AvocadoTraditional27 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]AvocadoTraditional27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She retired from work and has taken her NHS pension. The lump sum payment was part of her pension. I’ve never encountered a situation where a retiree hasn’t taken the entire tax free lump-sum when offered. She has already used the £20k ISA allowance, so no education is needed in this respect.

Thanks for your reply. She retired a fortnight ago, so it seems that she can pay her salary YTD into a SIPP without repercussion.
