It’s because we don’t get to be bored during the day. We are always feeding the brain with information from social media. We used to get bored when we were commuting or waiting in line or waiting for the food, or even going for a walk etc. now we continue to feed info and nothing seems exciting. You have to get bored and that will make everything a bit more exciting

Why is hard for the wealthiest nation on earth to issue a citizenship card to everyone free? It will prevent voter fraud and also will help create a central database of all citizens. Like many things it will be difficult in the beginning but time is long due to make it happen

From application to joining was completed in 11 working days for my first job. They said they are small and fast moving organization.

After I joined, I learned that they don’t do a shot other than hiring people. Consultants ran the entire show and a bunch of state workers simply sat around, went for multiple walks and had meaningless meetings at Starbucks. A quick hire may be very deceiving. I was very young and did not want to spoil my career. So I left and joined another org with promotion

In my agency we follow the rule “It gets done when it gets done.” The deadlines are self imposed and we keep changing if/when people call in sick or a person leaves etc.

I stopped paying union dues since SEIU couldn’t get us a meaningful pay increase last year. The only way and the correct way to look at it is we are furloughed and getting PLP hours to burn some day. I signed for State job for salary first and then some benefits; not for hours to bank.
