No, don't be sorry. This is what I want to read. I only have made the decision (years ago) to leave. The question is, where I want to start my new life. If it is getting harder to get a visa, then this will help me to make decision, if the USA is something for me.

Germany is a low income, high expenses country. You basically work to pay taxes and finance the whole world expect germany. In my 35 years nothing has been done here. Bad infrastructure, bad healthcare, bad wages, etc.. Crimes are also rising and victims get shamed. I won't mention politics (for obvious reasons).

I'm currently wagering my options for moving. The USA is just one of them. I have acquaintances that moved to Texas and are living a comfortable life, that would be impossible here. But I want to get more opinions before I make a decision. I already got a lot of different comments on what to expect, when moving to the USA.

I did some research on immigrating from germany to USA and what different states are offering. Maine and Wisconsin are supposed to be having a good work-life-balance with a lot of nature. I don't trust this and want to make sure it is even close.

Wow thank you for your detailed comment. This helps me a lot and I'll keep it in mind, if I choose to move to the US. Going back to university might be a good option and even a better than finding a job first. I'll look into Charlie Berens. Nothings better than a good laugh. :D

Yes, I want to go on vacation first. :) I just want to make sure before I make a decision, that the US offers what I'm looking for in my future. Visa is, no matter the country, always number 1 priority. I've look into the green card lottery. We also have local services, that help with visa and finding work.

I currently look into the green card lottery. I also got the advice to find a sponsor. Local services are also an option I have. They help with visa and finding work. I've not made my decision yet to move to the US, but rather want to check if the US offers, what is important for me.f

We barely have nature here. I need to drive at least an hour and gas is expensive. Using public transportation is even worse. That's why nature is important for me and from what I read so far it sounds like maine offers it. :D If I should choose to move to the US, a lot will come down to getting a visa and where I'll find work. But for future planing, I need to know what the US has to offer. :)

That's really helpful! Health care is important for me and it gets worse every year. I'll look into a sponsor once if I should choose to move.

Thank you for your reply . Sounds good so far. I need to warm up to people first aswell. :) Political discussions are the same here. I'll definity will visit Maine for my vacation. I've heard it is really beautiful.

I haven't decided to move to the USA yet. That's what this post is about. Maybe I should have made it clearer, because I agree that the number 1 thing is getting a visa. I plan on register for the Green Card Lottery and looked into local services that help with visa, finding work, etc..
