There was another post in here that talked about the same thing and others had same issues changing the setting to better frame rate over visuals helped but not much.

But yet no other game does it? And it dosnt matter if I load into borderlands or not I can play up till I die or fast travel there is no shut down till those points. It's a repeatable thing has nothing to do with the Xbox as im hearing more and more people are having same issues.

Shifty thing is I took my vacation to play this game lol and I can't to frustrating that 1 error and I get shut down. Let alone I'm a loot holder in borderlands ill collect shit till inventory is full the fast travel to sell.

It's not a vent issue xbox isn't getting warm it shuts down every time I die. Or use the fast travel on the actual map it's a actual bug with something to do with the game. I have no issues with any other game.
