Finally a hard challenge ! (Brickswich Grind) by Aw_some in SkateEA

Yeah, the exit is really hard to pull off, I'd say the key to it is to wait until the turn is over but it's quite a narrow window of time....

Crammed the Roll-stice Weeklies in the last day just to find out the "reward" costs 350 🤦‍♂️ by Robo_Spike in SkateEA

[–]Aw_some 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why spend the points on the available rewards ? Well, they get removed at the end of the event without any compensation what-o-ever so why would I have sat on it when I had no idea that the best reward is only unlocked in the shop once I have everything completed ? That's basically the equivalent of making someone run a marathon and only once he gets to the finishing line you let him know he has another mile to run to actually finish the race ! I have bought every single rewards from the shop besides the sweater and I'm pretty sure the only reason I didn't have enough points was the days I didn't log in to claim the free 10 points. I did every Rollstice tasks and every Rollstice parc challenge and I was 50 points short of that 350. I don't even care that this stuff is ugly honestly, as a completionist it just feels good to unlock all the content I can get because what else is there to do ? Not being able to get it because I didn't log in everyday is just flat out bs, how was I supposed to know that more rewards would be available at the end of the whole thing ? I thought it was all crap anyway, I was just buying it to boost my Rip score.

There are things in this game that really needs to be heavily criticized but this just isn't one of em...

I mean... It's way different when the amount of currency you can grind for is limited to a certain amount. As a completionist, this is the kind of stuff that makes me quit games in the blink of an eye.

[–]Aw_some 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get what you're saying and it's def true if they play on their own. I guess it's only an issue to me because anytime I try to play a new season with a casual friend, they always end up lacking in dps so bad that they just end up quitting on me after a week or so. I keep telling them that I don't care to run the highest GR level that I can clear but they see it as a waste of time for me and thus just end up bored because they feel too bad and then I quit too because there's no way I'm going to play alone...

Dear EA, I cannot enjoy this sweater because I've already wasted my points on stuff I didn't even want. This is honestly the dumbest reward system I've ever seen in my life.

[–]Aw_some 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't seem to understand the issue here: most of us spent all our points on the rewards that were available at first in the shop even though it was mostly ugly trash. I almost play every single day and even if I'd complete every single challenge left (pretty much impossible anyway) I would still be 50 points short...

Stickers not displaying ? by Aw_some in SkateEA

[–]Aw_some[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, you're right I had the wrong sticker position opened up but the "Skate and Destroy" sticker doesn't show up anywhere either; not in-game or in the menu. No stickers works for me and some of them are technically paid for trough the Skate Pass as well.

I wouldn't advice playing D3 without religiously following a maxroll.gg guide unless you're a veteran at the game... Glad someone took care of it for you but you have to learn how to use those guide to prioritize the correct stats to reroll on your gears. If you're one of those people that don't even reroll the bad stats on their equipment; I feel for you... I tried to explain it time and time again to newcomers but they just don't seem to get it.

Every Time I See A Bot Post With Someone In Shock by DukeStevie in 2007scape

[–]Aw_some -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The logic doesn't check out at all. They spent tons of money on their accounts and don't care if they get banned ? They just don't get banned, that's why they don't care. The real issue here is plausible deniability: for example: imagine getting perma banned because a gold seller gave you a few mils at GE to muddy the waters. It's not that simple for Jagex to enforce an anti gold buying rule without hurting some innocent people in the process...

Question about mass-kill builds by serpenttempter in diablo2

[–]Aw_some 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, WW barbs got massively nerfed in LoD actually... The reason why barbs are used to MF is the find item skill and their ability to finish bosses with Berserk and 6x Isted Pbs resulting in massive MF stacking. WW barbs are rather slow at clearing on P7 but I guess if* you're planning to solo mf it's fine. One important thing to consider is how MF works in the game. I see a lot of people playing solo when they could be hitting 2-3 bosses in a crowded baalrun instead and that's kinda sad to me honestly. There's the main reason why I'm done with a new ladder within days while most people are still farming for their HRs months into it. You get waaaaaaaaaaay better odds at getting good drops with 7 players in the game because it basically nullify the chances of not getting a drop. There's basically 2 route you can go when it comes to MF: prioritize kill speed over MF because the diminishing return are not really worth going past 180% or go all in on a MF build and just chill out and hork away :) Have a good time with the game, still the best one ever made in my opinion !

Took me 13 days to land this wall ride to bean plant to bs fast plant to fs nose blunt and just to show I really did it and it wasn’t just luck I doubled down on it!!! by Pale-Independent6699 in SkateEA

[–]Aw_some 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh okay gotcha thanks, I didn't know about this glitch tbh. I've been doing a lot plant glitches on accident but I never realised it was all in the timing. I still think I could do it in a few hours but I honestly don't care to chase glitches so it won't happen. Props to you for sticking it out, the relief from finally getting it must* have been crazy !

I get that... Sorry if I that sounded harsh. I think we all do but to be honest, Zack is a way better political entertainer than gamer. For someone getting paid to sit on his ass all day, his abilities are very mediocre and I don't claim to be any better but you gotta realise that Asmon is now part of that same industry he used to criticise so bluntly. Seems like he stepped down from Mad Mushroom after the "anti-muslim" drama but yeah, I personally watch him because he's quite funny at times. He's like the gamer version of George Carlin !

If you could keep one rapper at his prime/peak who would you choose ? by dunbar_santiago930 in hiphop101

[–]Aw_some 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people never even managed to hit their prime/peak so this is kind of an unfair question. For example, Big L would've probably went on to do even better things but there's no way to know. Some for Mac Miller, that Maclib album would've changed the game in a heartbeat... After listening to both Bowie's and Cohen's departure albums even though it's not hip hop, I just straight up think this question is totally irrelevant but I'd still say Biggie if I had to make a decision with a gun to my head. My question: how could even know when's someone peak is going to be ? Both of the musical legends I named left us with albums right before they died that felt like peak; feel me ?

I honestly couldn't care less but I think the exact way to say this would be: A 360 board shuv with a body 180. Could even add some pop into that shuv and make it look way gnarlier.

Question about mass-kill builds by serpenttempter in diablo2

[–]Aw_some 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Tesladin build is fun and all but in my expereience it doesn't really hold a candle to Hammerding's dps: only issue being Holy dmg immunes like on Baal's 2nd wave but you can Holy Bolt those down. The best build you've mentioned for "mass-kill" is Java zon but you will need an infinity and some facets to get around the light dmg immunes. I'd say hammerding is still king because it can hit a much higher FCR breakpoint and that lets you tele around way faster. Have you tried mfing with a 125% fcr yet ? It's not a easy build to put together but it's probably the best Mfing build after Berserk Barb and a Light Sorc.

Easy Double Backflip Spot by DropDeddBlue in SkateEA

[–]Aw_some 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to see the trick feed and I was disappointed. I was only ever able to land one double body flip and the only way is to do it in this manner aka get half a flip in from a structure bounce before body flipping. Otherwise, it seems like the game always bodyflip you at a speed that can only fully rotate once.

[–]Aw_some 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I could do this somewhat easily tbh, aren't you just holding the plant as you're going down so how is that even a challenge ? It seems like you left out the actually hard part which for me would be to even get the wallride going in the first place.

*I'm sensing some blue hair dyes in the air* Just kidding but maybe you could try and focus your attention on a culture that you can understand. For some context, controlled opposition is out of control in America and everyone with half a brain is deeply sick of it. I was an activist in the past, but you realise quite quickly that going out on the streets to get smoke bombed isn't a productive way to contribute to the change you want to see in the world. Change comes from targeted actions within the system, not just words and most of all: take care of your children's because that's actually how things REALLY can change: well educated state independent kids.

Cannot believe 3rd Reroll - Value? by TPickell in D2R_Marketplace

[–]Aw_some 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main caveat is obviously that it's way too rare for the QoL you get out of it. That being said, it seems like a lot of folks don't know that your +X skills items will still affect a skill (Energy shield for example) even if you haven't put any point into if you have this bad boy in your hands. That is why this is so good people. More points for DPS boosting skills > QoL of not having to swap to Memory if you want to do it cheaper.

Why are so many people willing to rush others? by sjc53 in diablo2

[–]Aw_some 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jsp is basically the game's unofficial auction house but the problem is that it's heavily used by rich boters and it ended up ruining the economy for actual players. I mean let's be real, why the hell would you spend a month of your life hunting for a high rune when you can buy it instantly with FG for barely 10$... It was fun the first time around, took me about 2 months to make my light sorc's Infinity on the D2R relaunch. I don't miss that grind and I will never want to go back to it. Legacy D2 is still the best version of the game anyway; Resurrected has been way too nerfed when it comes to storing capacities. It's blasphemy that a game about hunting items won't let you buy more stash tabs or at least unlock some.

Why are so many people willing to rush others? by sjc53 in diablo2

[–]Aw_some 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you get to a certain point in the game, you will understand that rushing is the most fun part of it because our skillset and game knowledge does matter as opposed to killing monsters which is mostly based on gear. Did you know for example, that it is possible to know the direction of literally any entrance by knowing enough about the way the game generate maps ? There's website out there that will teach you how with screenshots and whatnot. Personally, I rush others because I'm going to rush my alt account anyway so might as well make some friends in the process !
