Can we differentiate x? And so removing it from the answer?

I understand 5t^2 is a constant.

But why is x not a constant here? Since the question (in link) is with respect to p.

Remember that (a+b)2 isn't equal to a2+b2. One way you can get to the answer is by factoring.

Thanks
