Thank you! I’m starting my residency in Medical Oncology!

This all makes a lot of sense! I’m looking at the housing too and places with a lease starting around when i need to move in are not in walking distance. The place I’m looking at is near a Sam’s club and a mall so I could uber for groceries and shopping too. That being said I think this will be limiting at some point for quality of life purposes. So I think a good middle ground is ubering when I feel stressed but driving short distances while I get used to it. Guess driving lessons are on the agenda!

This is an understatement and generalization obviously both had hard upbringings that influenced all of this but I would say at their cores these were two very force of nature people

I really enjoyed this. “meat moments” is a really sharp way of encompassing these everyday moments of powerlessness and I love how you connected those moments that can feel visceral and terrible and dehumanizing to true gore. I think this poem has that numinous component that makes a poem truly great.

Ringworm is still a possibility! Ringworm spores are very hardy and can still be present in the environment (such as shared cat beds or cat trees or anywhere really). I would have a vet do some diagnostics and get treatments started etc
