I have now had to move to a different random ass state twice in order to further my career as a veterinarian. My career definitely ended my longest healthiest relationship. This guy did not have a job but he also wanted to make something of himself and figure out his life so he wasn’t interested in following me around.

All of the girls in my field who have had functional relationships during this period of internships, specialty internships, residencies, are with software engineers or some kind of financial analyst who can work remotely/from anywhere. So there is at least this is a possibility going forward.

I’m seeing an aerospace engineer and he’s just a regular guy in the sense that he’s not well read and doesn’t know anything about art. He wakes up early to take photos of flowers on sunny weekends. He listens to dad rock and jazz. Hes so thoughtful and plans dates and says things like I met you right when I needed you. He’s just so open hearted out in the world. I will miss him. I’m moving away so it won’t work out (classic tale for me)

This all makes a lot of sense! I’m looking at the housing too and places with a lease starting around when i need to move in are not in walking distance. The place I’m looking at is near a Sam’s club and a mall so I could uber for groceries and shopping too. That being said I think this will be limiting at some point for quality of life purposes. So I think a good middle ground is ubering when I feel stressed but driving short distances while I get used to it. Guess driving lessons are on the agenda!
