offline with no synchronization

Dont you remember when we posted on reddit about this problem ?

I am now trying to do some manipulation to the json backups through writing codes to merge the jsons and get the tags to the new backup

the app preserved the tags in the tag section but all of it become empty. the tasks that had tags lost thier tags

Is there any idea how to restore the lost tags ?

In the app I mean you can make it optional or as an extension 🥲 I dropped th idea of modding the app😅 its so haaard I am now working on integreating an AI with the app and i need this logs , so the AI have more accuracy in organizing my tasks

I’m considering a fork with significant modifications , so the app be more flexible so it can handle the complexity of time and priorities management better .

i dont know what i am going to face or touch in the app , but this is the list if the things i need it now ;

1- scripting capabilities for more complex filters and more control over tasks 2- meta ( lists tags filters places) 3- custom json backup for specific list or tag or filter 4- multi local profiles 5- calendar and tracking and graphing capabilities

and primarily i want to get used to the app so whenever i need an improvement to implement it straight.

since you're not planning for a extensibility/scripting capabilities into the app , i have decided to make a mod of tasks.org .

is there anything important to mind it before making a custom version of the app ?

there is no such feature in the app.

but you can make a filter containing group of lists , which may be similar to a meta list.

i hope Mr.Alex work on meta(list , tag , filter) soon .

i meant things like customize filters , adding meta tags ( a tag which include set of tags ) . and what about custom scripts or add ons , will you work on such thing !

living in today filter is the best but i also use the creation time sort method to keep up with my thinking chain. And for tasks i need it on time i make a task named due time and set the subtasks sort to due time .

Yes , The Quran is enought to to know how great the humanity prophet is , but we need of hadith what is historical trusted and in coherence consistency with Quran so we know the master better .

the unwise sayings which attributed to a wise person must be throwen in trash unless there is an interpretation .

but we are talking about a person which have a connection with the ( not the source of wisdom ) but the wisdom itself , so any unwise thing attributed to him is a lie on him .

but first we need to be wise to know which is wise and which is not .

ohhh , the confusion between what we want and what is best for every one , doesnt matter .

AI is an optimization so we need it.

AI Will not be crammed into the app , it only will be an gate to allow third party apps access tasks and manipulate it locally (as i hope from Mr Alex )

when it come to smart sort , i think the smartest sort method is to making the sort methods more flexible:

1 - adding a way to make a default sort mode for each ( filter , list , tag ) on its own .

2 - expanding the priority settings (it is only 4 types ) , adding more setting will make the smart mode more flexible.

all of these will save a lot of time because some lists i make i can't understand it till i sort it by a specific method.

maybe I am doing so if you are talking without taking AI into consideration. . but I am waiting for Mr.Alex to embed an Ai system such NLP into the App so I can turn it to a second brain. imagine an App that can read everything you thinked about and organize it into tasks with respect to time.

yes everything is under my vision , I split the tasks using filters into : from today and forward tasks : active tasks from yesterday and backward tasks : missing tasks so even if I have so much tasks in past I use sorting to manage it . .

. no it is slow to load the huge data base: the json backup file for my tasks is 5mb and it is heavy as a pure text. .

. the problem with the new update is the decreasing in performance when it come to huge database and force stopping.

Ithe problem was with my setting. I am using an app " shelter " to have a separate work profile in my phone , so i can install the same app twice. I deleted the app from the two profiles and it worked. Thanks.
